since the LAN in Chicago was considered a success, what do you guys think about having at least one more LAN before this game switches to 3.0? I was doing some research and looking at a LAN center in Maryland that is possibly interested. What does the community think about having a LAN in, say two months or so? I know that is when school starts for most, but considering most of the crowd was older, the only thing really holding it back is work or college. If it was held on a weekend during fall break, do you think we could get the same numbers as the chicago lan?
Considering how long this lan took to plan, I would be extremely surprised if you could do it in 2 months. And its sort of a really bad time to do it. September is like when were all getting used to getting back to school, or our kids getting back to school. Either start one for xmas break, or early summer
On top of that I think it would be better to do it in Chicago again. We already have a place we can come back to (they have a bigger ballroom we can probably use), and virtually everything is already in place, we just have to do more advertising, pick a date, and get the servers/sponsors in gear. If we were to get a new location, some people wouldn't be able to come (like from Canada or California) and some sponsors wouldn't be able to help (like Darkstar).
More AA lans?
