With a grand total of 60 teams in excess of 700 players, 242 matches, and 8 servers. IceNine has outlasted them all in North America to take home their first league title in Tracker's inaugural competitive event. ![]() [CANNOT DISPLAY SCOREBOARD] The first ever tracker league consisted of two rounds of group play and then playoffs for the top eight teams in a final group stage. IceNine walked away from both group stages and playoffs with a perfect record. For the finals IceNine faced Knights on two maps, the first being Weapons Cache SE, and the second, a competition standard, Insurgent Camp. Each map consisted of four rounds per side, the first to win nine rounds would be victorious. They successfully took the first two rounds by eliminating Knights players pick by pick and in return suffered only a few casualties. The third round Knights were able to break through IceNine's practiced defense, but to their disappointment were unable to grab the objective before the clock ran out. For the fourth and final round of the half IceNine's defense faltered yet again and Knights were able to push the advantage to take the win with a gun fight at the tertiary objective. Second half began with the Knights started off on defense with three consecutive primary objective setups. In the first round IceNine was able to take two objectives and then co-ordinate a push into primary with smokes and grenades to breach the defense. IceNine killing all the defenders at the primary weapons cache to win the first round and to clinch a tie for the first map. Knights bounced back in the second round with a more aggressive style of defending primary and were able to pick off and eliminate the remaining assault team before they even were able to make a decent rebound. IceNine was able to regroup in the seventh and eight round to take them both with speed and coordination one would expect of a seasoned CAL main team. Moving on to the second map Knights started off on defense down seven rounds, and needed to comeback big if they wanted a chance to take home a title. All IceNine had to do was win three out of the next eight rounds to win, and thats exactly what they did. In the first two rounds IceNine picked off the defenders in the windows then advanced into the building to take either the top or basement computers making the overall score 8-2. Knights were able to grenade a few of the IceNine players before they could penetrate the defense but in the end it was useless. Taking the the third round in fury of grenade explosions and m4 fire. For the fourth and final round of the match both teams traded kills until it was in a 4v2 situation with the knights advantage. IceNine pushed through west entrance of the building and one by one killed the remaining four defenders to take the title. There were some intense rounds and some excellent shots from both teams but only one came out on top.
