America's Army: CEVO Pro America's Army Week 1

By: Matt Wuthrich - Published August 10, 2007 at 8:52 PM EDT - Writer Archive
The first week of Cyber Evolution action begins with a bang on SF Hospital. The following is a break down of the eight pro team's rosters as well as initial predictions for pro as well as amateur on the third page. Check out the second page for the CEVO-A article!

[CANNOT DISPLAY POLL]
Well it's finally time to bring to you the first week of the Cyber Evolution regular season. The match of the week is SF Hospital and teams will be creating a new set of strategies as every map in CEVO is at a standard four minute round time. The VIP will either have to sit back and let the three man escort team take care of the ambush assault team and possible snipers, or make a mad dash through smoke in one of the three hospital exists! Check the latest starting rosters and scoreboards on the top right of the aa home page.

So stay up to date on the week's matches as they are scheduled via GotFrag, and keep checking as we bring you the latest post game statistics concerning CEVO Professional, and TWL Invite!
overRated vs Cover 3
The first match we see is c3 up against oR, both teams have been taking their fair share of beating from each other in TWL invite, and I honestly expect this to be the eventual match of the week. With the 10th and Aftermath merger being in my eyes all new generation player, and overRated for the most part representing the old school, this is going to be a match to remember. I'm personally going to go with Dillon and the boys to take this in overtime 10-6, good luck to both teams.

PTW: chronik, scarface
Instruments of God vs IceNine Gaming
I won't be doing predictions for my own matches, but I will go as far to say that stalker and banana-!-gun will be the players to watch to get as both players are going to be manning the big guns and tearing face throughout the match.

PTW: banana-!-gun, stalker
Just Cause Project vs Redemption
Next up is jCp taking on red, although Redemption is a favorite in my eyes on new maps, but I still believe jCp will take this one home in a convincing fashion, final score 9-5. Look for sTan to carry jCp through this match, and for Mechy to do the same for his team should he play.

PTW: sTan, Mechy
Slow Reaction vs Mediocrity (Match of the Week)
Finally we see sR vs med as the fourth and final match. With all the drama between these two teams this past week, It's looking to be the grudge match of the century. This match could easily go either way, so I'm going to just have to take a stab here and predict Mediocrity taking this in the final round 8-6
