With everything going on recently it seems we have fallen behind, but the leagues don't stop as CEVO announces their playoff formats and roles on through week five on Pipeline, the scores, the rosters, and the inevitable drama, are all below.
For a change of pace, we will be doing a recap instead of the usual prediction and breakdown of the weeks matches. Out of the original four matches that were scheduled, only three have taken place as teams are increasingly hammered with an Army Gaming Championship schedule, and various free play leagues they are loyal to. Before we go into this weeks matches, it is worthy to note that both the
overRated vs Just Cause Project week four match of the week as well as Cover 3 vs Instruments of God were rescheduled and are awaiting official consent to be rescheduled.
In other news, it has been announced that the format for both pro and amateur playoffs will be a double elimination tournament. While eight teams will be advancing to the tournament in amateur only four will be moving on in the professional division.
Moving on into last week now, yet another match has been put on the back burner as Just Cause Project and Slow Reaction could not agree on a date and time and CEVO's Agawa had to put his foot down on the new developing trend. This is America's Army first and without a successful turnout for S2, last season in CEVO, and teams are still getting used to the ability to schedule their matches themselves, without a default date.
It seems some teams have some confusion about the deadline day and when matches are to be played. The deadline day to play matches is Wednesdays at 11:59pm CST. Matches are not to be scheduled or played after this day/time for that week without permission from the Head of Division or Head of Game. Any match that has not been played by the default time will result in a double forfeit for both teams no questions asked. - CEVO Head of Game Cory Agawa
Finally, both Redemption and Instruments of God came by close wins with 8-6 victories over Cover 3 and Mediocrity respectively. Redemption now sits on top of the season standings with a 3-2 record and 40 round wins and 34 losses. Last but not least as we are still missing one match, overRated proceeded to trounce on IceNine Gaming in a 10-4 victory. Later i9 mainstay and starter, Dale "Protagonist" Gardner was removed from the team, but that's another story coming out later this week as we try and shift our focus onto all the recent high level player movement.
