Mediocrity takes the lead as we head into Week 5 of CEVO Pro on Bridge SE, a larger and more competitive version of the original version of Bridge. This defensive map adds another path to evacuate the intel to the tunnel. This map will display the eight team's patience and good execution skills when breaking a defense camp as teams work their way through the four defenders in either the tower, north, or south east hill tops. Matches could go any side for this week's matches as this is one of the more popular competition maps. As Clean said on GotFrag's forums, the matches are a bit lopsided this week as the best teams are facing off against teams a little below par. Every team who actually plays should at least score a couple rounds due to the map being so dominate defensively. Note: Due to the recent addition of patch 2.8.3, CEVO has given the option to delay their Amateur and Professional matches for one week. All teams have until Feb. 6, 2008 to play their scheduled matches. Mediocrity vs. 2n Gaming Mediocrity, who has recently gotten the #1 spot from Audigy, is getting a bit of a break this week. From what I have been told, 2n Gaming is pretty much finished unless 2.8.3 can somehow rekindle their spirit into playing again. However, if played, this match will definitely make a good demo to watch. These teams really have this map defensively, and it's going to take accuracy and skills to bring one of these teams over the other. Karma's Prediction: Forfeit win by Mediocrity Clean's Prediction: Mediocrity wins 8-3 or ffw Shawn's Prediction: Mediocrity wins 8-6 Just Cause Project vs. Cover 3 If you want to take into perspective that jCp's only loss comes from Audigy and Cover 3 beat them earlier this season , then you can definitely see a close match. This isn't a difficult map to play; however, it does take preparation to pull off wins on Assault. Just Cause Project has been quite inactive in late 2007 and a bit of 2008, but they are slowly starting to make their appearance back in the game and they have quite a record this season, sitting at 3-1 with just a slight smaller CPI than #1 Mediocrity. With Mediocrity and Audigy on the top of the standings, perhaps this was the competition that Just Cause Project said they wanted in their interview for GotFrag earlier this year? Karma's Prediction: jCp wins by 1 Clean's Prediction: jCp wins by 3 Shawn's Prediction: c3 wins 8-6 overRated vs. No Said Date overRated, who was once thought to be indestructible, has now seen themselves with a fairly poor record compared to their seasons of the past. Luckily, they are still in fourth place in the standings and still have a chance to make the playoffs if they can win here and down the road. No Said Date, who was clearly marked as a powerhouse when they first formed, haven't seen themselves really playing effectively. Their only win comes from a weak Going Live. Karma's Prediction: oR wins by 2 Clean's Prediction: nsd takes the win in OT by 1 Shawn's Prediction: nsd wins 8-5 Audigy vs. Going Live Going Live has recently announced in IRC, earlier this week, that this would be their last season in America's Army and that their team would be transferring to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. There really isn't much left to say other than Audigy will win either to Going Live actually playing or forfeiting. Karma's Prediction: Audigy takes the win by forfeit Clean's Prediction: Audigy stomps gL 8-2 or ffw Shawn's Prediction: Audigy wins 8-4 Stay tuned for next week's CEVO Pro prediction article in a brand new format based on GotFrag's Counter Strike prediction format.
