Season 12 of the TWL Intermediate League has come to a close. Now the real season, PLAYOFFS! After 10 weeks of regular season gaming, the postseason for TWL-Inters finally arrives. The teams will select their map of choice in a best of three battle. The two top seeds, u5 and mug n’ mouse gaming, received first round byes. This season’s playoff will consist of all 14 teams who have not dropped out during the middle of the season for whatever reason. Good luck to all teams and lets keep the e-sportsmanship! Playoff Round 1 Predictions Dropouts 8-1-1 vs. Knights 1-9-0 Knights is receiving a generous reward for getting a shot in the playoffs after a 1-9 season, and their only victory a FFW. Dropouts is coming off a strong season and reaching 7th on the infamous Mr. Clean’s Top 25 rankings. Dropouts should dominate this match from round one. unk's pick: drp > knights clean's pick: drp > knights Unknown Factor 6-4-0 vs. Ataxia 4-5-1 Ataxia is finally starting to shape up after a rough first half of the season, as Unknown Factor was beginning to decline from their amazing start. This one should be fairly close and should be decided on who actually preps for the match. unk's pick: uF > atx clean's pick: atx > uF in OT(really tough to call) Fightclub 4-4-2 vs eFlow Gaming 5-3-2 uNk’s upset special of the week! After a strong outing in CEVO-A playoffs, fightclub can now put all focus into this match. eFlow will be coming off a 11-1 loss to u5 and will need to put some more effort into their gaming if they don’t want to get upset here. unk's pick: fc. > eFlow in OT epiC 5-5-0 vs Conviction 4-3-3 This is the toughest match to call. These teams seem so evenly matched. con beat epiC in their only head-to-head match this season on WC, but seeing how hard it is to win on assault it will be tough for con to pick this as their map. I'm not going to venture a guess at what maps will be picked, but there's a good chance this one will go to OT. I think epiC has the slight edge on the OT maps (except maybe SS, but that's too even to call) clean's pick: epic > con in OT in the MOTW! IceNine 5-3-1-1 vs 160th Soar 4-3-3 After starting the season 5-0 IceNine was winless in the last 5 matches. Will the slide continue or will they pick up their socks and turn it around. With no other leagues to focus on at the moment I do believe they will be prepared for this playoff match, unless of course they take 160th Soar for granted. 160th is pretty solid on outdoor maps so I can see them picking one of these as their map choice. IceNine should be strong enough to tie 160th on their map choice which should give them the edge as they should win on their own map. clean's pick: i9 > 160th unk's pick: i9 > 160th Unreasonable Ownage 6-3-1 vs That's Dope 2-7-1 That's Dope's only wins came on Pipeline in week 1, and IC in week 5. It's a pretty sure bet that they will pick IC as their map, and if they could tie U on their map this could be an upset. I highly doubt either of these teams will pick a long range map considering how badly they performed on these in the season. If this one goes to OT I don't think U will have much trouble winning on any of the possible OT maps. clean's pick: Prediction U > tD in OT unk's pick: U > tD
