CEVO-Pro and Amateur Finals come to a close as jCp and Radiance take home their respective titles in the second season of CEVO-AA! CEVO ended last week in a best of three format to finish out the season in both Pro and Amateur leagues. Just Cause Project was able to secure their second CEVO-Pro title taking down the relatively new kids on the block, Mug 'N Mouse. mNm played extremely well in the playoffs going undefeated into the finals match. jCp on the other hand struggled to get past the first round with a close loss to Audigy sending them down into the lower brackets to play overRated. mNm took note of jCp's only two losses of the season, both of which were on MOUT to Audigy, and chose it as their first map. jCp however came in prepared having scrimmed the map quite a few times the week leading up to this finals match and had their strats down as they ended up taking the first map 8-4. jCp chose their long time favorite map Insurgent Camp but was surprised by the dominate play of Chris "chrones" Sansone who played flawlessly in Top Floor Offices, along with a nice blind ace to end the map in a 7-7 tie. The third map chosen by CEVO was Urban Assault, a very balanced map known for rushes and set nades making this match hard to predict. Although the momentum was in jCp's favor as they only had to tie the map to take home the hardware. sTan answered back to chrones dominate play on Insurgent Camp and rallied up 15 kills in OT, leading jCp to a 7-4 win over mNm and their second CEVO-P title.
In the Amateur division Radiance Gaming and Unreasonable Ownage fought out in one long best of three match. The match started out on Pipeline with Radiance taking defense as side choice and securing the first two rounds of the map. The third round brought in a surprising clutch while all four Radiance members were alive as UO was able to take the primary valve to secure their first Assault round. Unreasonable Ownage was able to secure six rounds on Defense as well - tieing the map 7-7, and moving on to Bridge SE. This map was nothing short of a beat down as UO lost 6 rounds on Defense and Radiance was able to capitalize by taking the remaining rounds and securing the map win 8-1. Moving onto Urban Assault UO showed signs of life taking 3 rounds to Radiance's 1 at half time. UO came out with a huge rush on the Eastern Objective taking out two Radiance players and securing their 4th round of the match, leaving the score 4-1 in favor of UO. Radiance struck back and was able to tie the match up leaving UO in a vulnerable position. They either had to win the round or take home 2nd place. Unfortunately, through some miscommunication on UO's part the last remaining player didn't push in the last few seconds of the last round and the time ran out tieing the round and securing the win for Radiance.
