The second week of CAL features an outdoor old faithful map of Bridge SE. GotFrag will be covering this season with up to date news and predictions. This week we have blu1ce from epiC and unk from Conviction as our guest predictors for CAL Main. Preparation will be the key to success for this weeks matches, although sometimes even prep doesn't compensate for the difference in skill level & experience between some of these main teams.
Both teams have been around for several seasons now. After devastating defeats in week 1 these teams will battle it out and try to rebound this week. One team will go home 0-2 and the other back to .500, we will see who wants it more

With the loss of their leader donmai I don't see how Unknown Factor can win this match, especially with their inactivity.
|
Both teams have lost key players. Look for Unreasonable Ownage to bounce back after a disappointing week 1.
|
With the departure of donmai, I have not seen a uF guy scrim in a long time, or maybe that's just me. Unreasonable Ownage > Unknown Factor.

The Knights of the Round Table have the experience edge by far on this map. It was their favorite pub map at one point in time. Deadly Shot is coming off a loss in week 1, and will have to get it together to come out on the winning side in week 2. If Knights put the effort in they should walk away with this one.

Knights are solid on Bridge SE and should take this match handily.

Both teams have struggled early. Look for yet again another infamous bse tie.

Deadly Shot < The Knights of the Round Table. Well, more experienced, thats all there is to it.

Version 3 had some solid additions to their roster in the offseason. 3 members from CAL-m finalist Team unRestricted joined them. Even with these additions and plenty of practice, iNno will be a huge test for v3. They have a lot of experience, their only major fault is they haven't played together for a long time as they recently formed.

King Zeratul's troops will be sent to battle without the help of their fearless leader. This should give v3 a slight edge.
|
There is a slight chance for Version 3 to upset Inno, but it’s very slight. Look for Inno to defeat them in a very close match up.
|
Version 3 < iNstruments of Allah. iNno is looking for a CAL-M title and shall be one step closer (I know it's week 2) after this one.

No Hesitation was formed after Audigy broke up and Toby/Mofo decided to reform nH going back to their roots. They should be one of the better teams in Main this season with all that invite experience, and the lacking of skilled teams in Main. Lost Cause were the CAL Open champs last season and should win some matches in Main for sure, they'll give nH a run for their money as they have pretty decent shots.

I see this as closer matchup than expected, with Lost Cause putting more practice in. No Hesitation will prevail as long as they play tight D as they are the stronger squadron.
|
Interesting match up. Lost Cause, CAL-O champions, will put their creativity to the test against a group of savvy, experienced vets. No hesitation pulls through in the end due to experience.
|
No Hesitation > Lost Cause! No lengthy reasoning, I feel they are the better team here..

Legacy lost one of their starters last week (commie) after he was brainwashed by king zeratul's and the king even had his new peasant purchase him a brand new robe. In other news, Legacy got so beat down in week 1 they left the server after going down 8-0 to iNNo as they were in shambles. misChief is relearning a game they were already bad at years ago. I don't even expect they know there is another passage to extraction on this map, and will probably accept training or even find some pub-i bse players to smurf for them and try to lead them to victory.

After a week 1 disaster Legacy will rebound this week with a convincing win.
|
Legacy got embarrassed at the hands of inno last week. Mischief doesn’t know the meaning of the word embarrassed. Look for Legacy to pull through in a very close contest.
|
Looking for vengeance, Legacy will get it on this long range map in which they have a good history on.

Both very young teams from what I've heard. With etU being the much more mature clan as anybody who plays against ess^, or sees their forum posts would figure out. Team.ess^ talks a big game, but really they've done absolutely nothing shocking in terms of beating decent teams. This season should be a reality check. Elite Tactical Unit has played in the open level for ages, but have finally earned a spot at a higher level of Main. It'll be interesting to see their progress this season.

Team.ess^ has been scrimming, but I still see Elite Tactical Unit taking this one by 1 or 2 rounds.
|
Very close call as both teams come with a similar playing style. I’m expecting a tie to come from this.
|
Elite Tactical Unit < Team.ess^. Close match, they might out shoot them in some situations that will give them the edge.

Final Destination came off a close win in week 1 against etU. There was some disagreements between certain members so most of the active roster left. After discussions with Redemption, Final Destination picked up their squad and is splitting the members between the Invite and Main teams. They should be good to go for this week. Fragweiser has improved a lot of the past year or so. They put in a solid effort to prep for matches every week, so this week should be the same.

Fragweiser should take this one rather easily, even with the new experienced additions to Final Destination
|
This match will end in a draw. Final Destination brings some old faces back with experience, but experience is sometimes not enough when not given some gel time.
|
Final Destination-m < Fragweiser. Does Final Destination-m even have aa installed other than mulgarus?.

Fight Club has always been pretty inconsistent in terms of results from week to week. They had an easy win in week 1, but aren't big fans of this map. If they pull together the right roster they should do fine. epiC is starting the season off very strong. They dominated a top team in week 1, and if they continue to put in the practice this week, they should prevail.

fc likely won't have the right roster to beat a solid epiC team, it will be a pretty close match nonetheless.
|
Clearly Match of the Week. Both teams seem to have a pretty strong main outdoor team. It all comes down to who can capitalize the most on whose mistakes. Look for it to go down as a draw.
|
Fight Club > epiC. I see this one labeled as MOTW and possibly go into overtime, with fc edging this one out in the clutch.
