America's Army "FREE"DOM Tournament - Registration Open - Play for FREE!


CEVO is excited to announce the opening of registration for our next America's Army event, the "FREE"DOM Tournament! This event features $250 in CASH for the winning team and best of all its completely FREE!

Since America's Army is a free game, that means you can play in CEVO without spending a single cent! (new players can download the game from www.americasarmy.com

Registration for the tournament is open until Thursday, June 12th at midnight PST.


Event Details:

Here are the tournament details...

- Maximum 32 teams, double elimination.
- Registration is FREE.
- Matches played once a week on Wednesday nights.
- Registration is open from Thursday, May 22nd - Thursday, June 12th.
- Standard CEVO rules apply, 7 round halves, and the home team will receive side choice.
- Maps are Insurgent Camp, SF Sandstorm, Urban Assault, Weapons Cache, Mountain Ambush, Mout Mcknenna, Pipeline, and Collapsed Tunnel (Map Rotation: TBA).
- The CMN will be enabled for all matches.
- Teams are permitted to dispute a maximum of two players per team per match.


Format Change - Play to Win:

We listen! After talking with players, managers, and fans and running a poll, we have observed an overwhelming majority in favor of "play-to-win" scoring format. Just like Season 2, matches will now end when either team reaches 8 rounds won. All matches should be reported as "8-X" where X is the number of rounds the opposing team had at the time of victory. Matches going into overtime should be reported 8-7 in favor of the team who won overtime.

Playing to win will help with the following...

- Cut down on teams leaving the server before the match is officially over
- Make for faster and more intense matches.
