That's awesome that your grandmother supports you like that. What does your family think of your gaming habits?

At first my dad hated me playing computer games. He use to tell me I was throwing my life away and I wasn't going to learn anything. If anyone has played Red Alert 2 with super weapons on, the Iron Curtain is something that actually happened in history and got me 10 bonus points in Geography in 9th grade. I still rub that in his face today. He started to ease up once I won money at CPL but was still a little mad i kept playing in college. My mom on the other hand didn't really care because she knew that I learned a lot of the stuff I know about computers by getting my own computer and putting it together to play those computer games. When we were at the Chicago LAN, I called my mom and told her where to go to watch me play over the internet. My mom watched all the matches and she somehow got my Dad to watch the finals match. I knew my mom watched it all, but when I got back to school Monday, my dad called me telling me congratulations about winning 1st place and taking home $700. It shocked me so much I didn't really know what to say. My grandma lives only 10 minutes from my parents house in Houston so when I was little I had to go over to her house and do most of the chores. So when she heard I was going to Dallas for CPL and Chicago, she insisted in paying for both trips full out. Not having to pay for a ride, hotel cost, entry fees and food makes the winnings all that better. There's one thing you don't do with my grandma, you don't tell her no, you just simply say OK. Everyone else in my family was jealous that grandma was paying for me to go play video games.

You've played the game for a long time. How do you feel the America's Army competitive community has progressed (or regressed) through the years? Anything that bothers you or really makes you love to play this game?

I think the competitive community could become a lot better if teams didn't break up at the end of a season. The main reason most of the invite teams are doing so good is because they have been playing with the same players for a long time. Most new teams will do pretty good until they are faced up with a team that knows how to work together instead of everyone trying to get the most kills. I know this because when I first started playing competitively with Team-ki, I wanted to get all the kills in the match. Now that I have been playing for 2 years (competitively that is) I now understand that it's not all about getting kills it's if you helped your team win at the end of the match. My first match I played for -jCp. I went 6-9. Obviously one of my worst matches but at the same time I was the one rushing in getting flashed or making a run for the obj. Doing this let RaF follow behind me and kill everyone(he went 19-8). Instead of breaking up and making a new pug team just to play the next season, stick it out and you will do much better next season.

3.0 (America's Army's newest version) is coming out this Fall. What do you expect to see? Or what would you like to see or change in this upcoming version?

There's a rumor out that most of the players in -jCp. have played 3.0. I can tell you none of us have. I just hope the game runs smoothly and the demo function has had a big improvement. I'm a little worried that the 3.0 maps will be a big camp fest on every map. If you have ever read the 3.0 section on the AA forums, you would know what I mean. If 3.0 does suck the big one for competition, I hope we can pull a Counter-Strike and pick an old version to play on and add a few custom maps. It is going to be interesting on how all the teams adapt to the new game play. I just hope the rumor about the bullet drop is true. If you have ever played me long range you will know I'm always shooting over your head. If this bullet drop actually works, it could help me out long range. =P

Good ole Baylor. [laughs] Any shoutouts or anything to close with?

I would like to give a shout out to everyone that was in ki with me. I know most of you don't play AA anymore but you're all still cool. Everyone in -jCp. except the staffers. A big shout out to sic, your the funniest person I've talked to online. Logan you owe me $60 and killa you owe me $10. Happy Birthday Pimp. Last and least to nina, please stop talking in vent.
