GotFrag's Nic Huber talks with Jeff "Cyl0n" Watts and Louis "CommieKid" Brill and discusses the history behind 2n Gaming along with answering some questions regarding the current team, cheaters, and even a chat about a possible Audigy reformation. From the formation of 2n Gaming to now In the Summer of 2006, Josh "-joSh" Mugrage created a team that would eventually be called 2n Gaming. The team, who was known for scrimmaging nightly, took off in a more competitive direction once the team's leader, Josh, left. At the time, the team's core members consisted of: Michael "Phantom" Johnson, Austin "Pokemon" Caires, Hayden "unthinkable" Vaniderstine, and of course Jeff "Cyl0n" Watts. According to Cyl0n, some of the team's most memorable moments in their early careers were being beaten by Just Cause Project on MOUT McKenna and taking the CAL Open Championship, in Season 6, by beating Team Ataxia with a score of 11-1. Soon after playing teams like Instruments of God and Redemption CEVO Professional placement tournament, Cyl0n and unthinkable left. After a year's hiatus from the game, Cyl0n and Phantom restored 2n Gaming from the broken shambles of Aftermath. 2n Gaming convinced CAL to give them Aftermath's spot on the league's Main division. They finished out the season with Aftermath's position and soon disbanded once again. Cyl0n came back to the game once again last month and started playing again. After noticing that Michael "Phantom" Johnson, who also runs MAD eMedia, still payed for the team's Ventrilo and web servers, Cyl0n began hanging out in the Ventrilo server and finding people to scrim with him against other teams. Players like Joseph "noOfy" King and Braylan "oMee" Williams soon joined forces with Cyl0n and CommieKid. Without a name or a website, Cyl0n made a quick and easy decision: reform 2n Gaming and use the current website and the current Vent server. 2n Gaming is back and currently getting ready for the the next season of competitive gameplay from CAL, CEVO, and even FGL. In amidst an interview with Cyl0n and CommieKid, GotFrag's Nic Huber asks, "what are your initial reactions to having a roster similar to that of Radiance Gaming and, also, about having several known players who have cheated previously?" "Yeah, I guess you could call us Radiance Gaming 2," Cyl0n replies, answering to the first part of the question. "It really doesn't matter to me and really doesn't bother me." "As long as they don't cheat anymore, if they are nice, if can prove legit, and we can gain friendships out of them, it really doesn't matter to us," said CommieKid to answer the second part of the question. Possible Audigy reformation? Cyl0n also made a comment of former Audigy players, Derek "Proton" Holmes and Derek "mofo" Gibbons have been hanging around the 2n Gaming Vent and a future reformation of Audigy sounds likely next season. Proton wouldn't really comment on any questions, but did mention it was a possibility and I would have to wait until after the current season ends. Cyl0n also mentioned that he would like for mofo and Proton to join 2n Gaming since former Audigy captain Jon "Jonny" Lundquist is currently playing for Rising Storm, who are in the CEVO's FREEDOM Tournament Finals; however, no talks with either former Audigy member have been discussed. "Reformation wouldn't be the best of words, but something is brewing," stated Jonny about a possible reformation of one of the best teams that the game has seen.
