Rising Storm defeated IceNine in an epic 3 set battle to claim the TWL Intermediate Championship. They started on i9's choice of Urban Assault where wh!z and donmai stole the show as rS lost 4-5-1. The second set was rS's pick of Mout McKenna where rS was still having troubles, but finally got in a groove towards the end, and they finished on top 6-4. The 3rd and deciding set was to be played on Sandstorm. All rS needed was a 3-3 split and they would win by virtue of rounds won. IceNine started strong yet again taking the 2-0 lead, quick adjustments and better play allowed Rising to turn it around and win tied the set 3-3. Although they were still tied overall at this point, rS won on total rounds won 13-12.
This gave Rising Storm their first ever title. They managed to play the whole season without being defeated, quite a accomplishment even the Patriots could not do. It's unknown if this team will be back for another season to defend their title, but if they do return we could very well see them in the finals again.

Above Average defeated Disturbing the Peace in straight sets to claim the TWL Open Championship. They started on dTp's choice of Pipeline and stopped them from taking any assault rounds, where ^A managed to take 1 round on assault for a 6-4 set win. The second set was ^A's pick of HQ Raid which they started on D and swept the side 5-0. With dTp only having a chance to tie, the match was technically over, and ^A were victorious.
Practice paid off for this team, and they earned the title. Congrats!
Look for them to put up a solid season when they move up to TWL Intermediates.

just Cause project defeated Mediocrity to claim the coveted CAL Invite Title. Due to some misfortunes in some of the family members of players on these teams, the match was delayed. This delay turned out to be way too long, as jCp didn't want to play until they had the roster they normally use, since they made the friendly gesture to delay for med in the first place. As usual this caused a lot of drama, but the match finally was played.
Mediocrity threw everyone for a loop with their map pick when they chose SF Recon. It wasn't used during the season, but the rules didn't clarify that playoff maps must be picked from the season map pool. What can be concluded from such a terrible map pick was that Mediocrity wanted to show jCp that they didn't care as much as them. I think their point was: "you won't play until you have your perfect roster and we just want to play and get it over with so we'll show how much we care by taking SF Recon". jCp started on Counter Recon and swept the side, they finished the sweep 8-0 by taking the first round of Special Recon. RaF and Nana got 95% of the kills. jCp picked SF Sandstorm as their choice. They played smart with late pushes for the 2nd and 3rd objectives and took the match 8-2. Overall it was a lopsided victory for jCp, they played well and earned it. Hopefully next time around some better map choices are made, and we'll see a better final.

No Hesitation defeated iNNovation to claim the CAL Main Championship. Both teams picked Collapsed Tunnel as their map. They were very evenly matched which was proven by the 7-7 score in the first set. Not knowing they needed a winner, they played the second set right away as a winner takes all. No Hesitation stepped it up just enough to take the 8-5 victory. The direction of this team is pretty much up in the air, they could be back to defend their title if they lose some starters and remain in Main, or perhaps they'll be bumped up to Invites.

Disturbing the Peace defeated NerveDamage in an excellent 3 set match to claim the CAL Open Championship. NerveDamage lay down the law in the first set when they dominated by a score of 8-3 on Insurgent Camp. In the second set dTp would have to come out on top to have a chance to win the match and the championship. They tied 7-7 on Mout McKenna, but the match would have to be played out until there was a winner on the map. dTp finally did win the set 12-9 in double OT. They had life again and it would be all decided on Urban Assault. It went down to the wire where dTp came out on top 8-6 in the end. Sounds like it was an awesome battle. Congrats to Disturbing the Peace on their Open Championship.
