For those of you who have been wondering about the TWL Global Crisis 2005 North American Theater Tournament, they have some updates for us to check out. They first have a map list up that covers eight rounds. The list goes as follows:

Round 1 – Strike at Karkand
Round 2 – Zatar Wetlands
Round 3 – Dalian Plant
Round 4 – Mashtuur City
Round 5 – Dragon Valley
Round 6 – Sharqi Peninsula
Round 7 – Gulf of Oman
Round 8 – Strike at Karkand

They also say that they have eliminated matches on Tuesdays. Instead, competition will take place on Mondays and Thursdays. They still have not set a date on when the tournament will start, but we will have that for you as soon as they do. You can also check out the Official Rules and the Server Config.

This theater will have a lot more matches than it's European counterpart. There are currently 100 more teams active in the North American Tournament than in the European one. The European Tournament is going quite smoothly so far, so let's hope that the North American version follows the same path. We'd like to wish all the teams participating in both tournaments good luck. We'll have more coverage of these events as they unfold.

Update

The matches for round one will all take place this Thursday, the 11th. After this first round, the matches will return to their Monday/Thursday routine. It look like we'll see some great matches this week so be sure to tune in for the results.
