The Entry is a new organization on the scene and has already partnered with the Counter-Strike team, Team-Chemistry. Now they are joined by Cloud9 for a Battlefield 2 division of The Entry.
Cloud9 has joined forces with
The Entry to head up their Battlefield 2 section. The Entry has already gotten the Danish Counter-Strike team, Team-Chemistry to join their ranks. Now it seems they are growing even stronger with this Battlefield 2 powerhouse. Here's a snippet from their news release:
In addition we would like to present one of the biggest teams ever seen on the Battlefield scene. Cloud9 has entered the Battlefield2-scene with a lot of success and sensation. The team has already won the PCZONE Knockout Cup, by beating some of the most respectful teams around. We can firmly say that one of the world’s best Battlefield teams will from today be a part of the The Entry organisation. The team will participate in future events with Battlefield2 on the programme (tba.)
The following players will from today switch tag from Cloud9 to The Entry:
Jakob "Fille" Filsøe
Per "pace" Kyed
Simon "FiRESTORM" Pedersen
Kenneth "currant" Bojer
Jesper "Hellfish" Lindskov
Anders "Peach" Wibroe
Michel "Arkian" Lund
Kasper "Wacked" Kvorning
Kristoffer "Marley" Castillo
Daniel "nizon" Schou-Larsen
Viktor ”Demitri” Sandstrøm
Jens "Jennerboy" Leth
With kind regards
The administration, Mikkel Plæhn and Christian Slot
I also had the chance to sit down with
Mikkel Plæhn and ask him a few questions about The Entry and their future. Here's what he had to say:
Well first could you please introduce yourself and your role with The Entry?
Mikkel: My name is Mikkel Plæhn, I got the idea for The-Entry organization and started this with Christian Slot. We lead the daily management of the organization and all its activities.
Could you give me a brief history of The Entry?
Mikkel: On 4/8, we opened The-Entry organization with one of the best Danish CS teams, Team-Chemistry as our CS division.
You already gave me a bit of history about The Entry, but what made you want to acquire Cloud9 for a Battlefield 2 division?
Mikkel: Well, first off, the idea was to create a strong organization, and from the start we knew, to create this we needed more than just a Counter-Strike division. Therefore, we made contact to the quake player Brescia, along with Cloud9. And I think the reason is very easy to figure out - both Brescia and Cloud9 are some of the best in their games, and we see this as a very big advantage having these in our organization.
Do you plan on having more divisions for other games?
Mikkel: I cannot deny that the possibility is there. We are still in contact with other individuals and let's keep it at that :).
Are there any major leagues or tournaments that you are planning on entering?
Mikkel: Well, for the Battlefield guys, they will still be competing in TWL and up-north. We are hoping to see some LANs or even events such as the CPL with this game represented.
What can we expect to see from you guys in the future?
Mikkel: Well, I think that you will see some fine results from the Battlefield-, Counter-Etrike- and Quake-division. What else the future holds is hard to say, but we hope in more support from both the community and its companies :).
Great, well thanks again Mikkel. Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Mikkel: Sure, go support us in our adventure at #the-entry or www.the-entry.com, and thanks for all support so far.
This new organization sounds like its really taking off. Good luck to
Mikkel,
Christian, and all the members of The Entry. I'd like to thank
Mikkel again for agreeing to answer my questions. Be sure to visit their
website for more information on The Entry.
