Yesterday at 6 PM CET, Team9 announced that they have merged Team Pactum into their organization. Team9 is a multi-gaming organization which consists of teams for Painkiller, Counter-Strike, Call of Duty, Enemy Territory, and now Battlefield 2. Here is the official announcement made on Team9's website yesterday:

In an Official Announcement released at 18:00 CET today the Swedish Pactum Battlefield team have secured a place as the new BF2 squad for team9, in the midst of this brings an even bigger step in team9s multi-gaming capabilities.

Here is an Official Statement from Roach who is Head of the BF2 Squad:

“Pactum is proud to announce that we have been given the opportunity to be the representatives for Team9 in Battlefield 2. With Team9 organization and sponsors like Aurora, Eurobet, Sennheiser and Qpad at our back, we'll be an even greater force to be reckoned with. We'll see you on the battlefield, and you'll see us as Team9.//Team9|Roach, Team9|Spotty”

All that is left to say is Good Luck to the new Battlefield Squad and we team9 as a community feel that with this new arrival brings a big step to the future, in securing team9 status all over the world as a top multi-gaming clan.

With The Entry picking up Cloud9 and now Team9 grabbing Team Pactum, I'm wondering if this is the start of a new trend. Will we start to see more multi-gaming organizations acquiring more Battlefield 2 teams? I suppose only the future can tell.
