Discussion is rising in the United States concerning the hosting of a possible 25.000 US dollar Battlefield 2 "World War" Tournament by BF2-live.com in Orlando, Florida. The only big sponsor announced right now is the well known Corsair.

Be sure to check the website and don't hesitate to state your comments on this one.

If it's going to be organised, the very best European teams should be able to attend this shock event. I'm however doubting the legitimacy of it. We will try to get in touch with Corsair to see what's the truth about all of this.

UPDATE: I have been in contact with the organizers and all seems to be the truth, I quote:

Well it is no joke! We have event planners that have over 20 years of experience in event planning. I have no doubt between them, my team of gamers and lan experts and the BF2 Community we could all make this event a huge success!!

Let's hope this one will turn out, could become the biggest event in Battlefield history!
