By: Ryan Sheedy - Published May 14, 2006 at 11:35 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Week 4 is here and teams are getting geared up and ready to face off on the head on fragfest that is Kubra Dam.
Week 3 Review

Week 3 was a tumultuous battle for control of the streets of Mashtuur and eventually, control of the CAL- Open Standings. In the Atlantic Division, probably one of the, if not the, premier matches of the year occurred as iLL stared down HOE and came out with a decisive 2-0 victory, establishing themselves as one of the premier Open teams in the Atlantic division. In other action, RDogs welcomed Groundzero to the real competition of the CAL- O division, handily defeating the upstart squad in two rounds. Banana Rangers felled tWs in a hardfought 2-1 victory, while Hostile Faction and The Forgotten Soldiers continued to roll through the competition to maintain their perfect records. In the other important match for Wk3 in the Atlantic Division, the Bloody Scotsmen easily defeated BMF to continue their run as an undefeated dark horse in the Atlantic. The competition in the central division has seemed to narrow down as the teams enter Week 4. It is shaping up to be a race between Warchild, Poppycock, and Eviscerate for the claim to the regular season crown. All three of the elite teams dominated their opposors in Week 3, eViscerate taking down Vitality in 2, Warchild over UGHQ in 2, and Poppycock over CB4 in 2. PTX, SOE, and 2R continue to hang around with undefeated records, but they are not on the level of the other three undefeated squads. Vitality, TL and 2iLL and 2HOT continue to stay in the hunt with 2-1 records.

Week 4 features some even matches on Kubra Dam, a map featuring armor and infantry play. Victories this week will come down to the squads with the more talented infantry players and individual armor. The opening strat is a very important part of Kubra, the whole round can be won or loss based on its success (or lack thereof). Without further ado, to the predictions!
