The play-offs of the most prestigious online cup in Europe are about to kick-off on Dalian Plant and Fushe Pass. Who will face which team and how will it turn out? Read everything about it in the preview of Pistol "Disorder" Pete. ![]() Play-offs of the ClanBase Eurocup are kicking in and they will be played double elimination. Maplist for the play-offs is: ° Upper Brackets: I Dalian Plant / Fushe Pass II Songhua Stalemate / Daqing Oilfields III Gulf Of Oman / Sharqi Peninsula ° Lower Brackets: Ia Shonghua Stalemate / Dalian Plant IIa Daqing Oilfields /Gulf Of Oman IIIa Sharqi Peninsula / Fushe Pass IVa Kubra Dam / Zatar Wetlands ° Finals: Dragon Valley / Mashtuur City All playoffs matches will be played on 1.22 patch. This is of course a dubious call. A vote in the Open Cup decided that 1.3 will be used for their play-offs. We've got a discrepantion there... Eurocup play-offs on 1.3 and Open Cup play-offs on 1.22. In my strict opinion, teams should go along with the game and play it with the last patch. If they continue on 1.22 now, they will never get really competitive in 1.3 (thus in new competitions) and quit after this Eurocup, which would be a shame. In my opinion 1.3 without jeepdropping would have been a much better choice. Now the scene is split and that's not a good thing. The groups who will face-off against eachother are known: group A will fight the teams of group B and group C will fight the teams of group D. This makes the following exciting matches on Dalian Plant and Fushe Pass: ° cZar vs xGx ° Begrip vs Wilda/dsr (will be decided Wednesday 20.30 on Mashtuur and Kubra Dam) ° Pod.bf2 vs SoD ° Dignitas vs Team Logitech Disorder: as I see it, the match of the week is clearly Dignitas vs Team Logitech. Of course, everyone remembers the narrow victory of Team Logitech vs Dignitas in the World Tournament on Kubra Dam. What a game it was and be sure to check the demos right here. Now, they will face eachother on Dalian Plant and Fushe Pass. How strong is the new (European) Dignitas squad after them loosing their top-tanker Kamikaze? Team Logitech gave some of them a taste of what they are capable off currently in the QPad Bootcamp last weekend, dominating a mixteam of Dignitas and Code7. This game will be a MUST-CAST job for BFTV with some major coverage, no doubt. My bucks are on Logitech, though! Next is Pod.bf2 vs Sod, where Pod.bf2 - currently one of the strongest sides in Europe - should be able to outplay SoD without trouble. If cZar maintain their form of the groupstage, they should be able to take care off xGx, but expect no gifts from xGx here, they are capable of booking an upset win. Yet another exciting game that should be casted by BFTV! Last but not least is Begrip vs the winner of Wilda vs dsr. Normaly, Wilda should be able to beat both Begrip and dsr (Wilda is very strong on Dalian and has displayed some impressive play on Fushe Pass before as well). But are there still certainties in the shattered and divided BF2 scene of nowadays? Time will tell. |
