Battlefield 2: 2142 Beta in August

A beta version of Battlefield 2142 will go live early August already!

BF2142.com- We noticed that you have confirmed the release of a demo at a later stage, could you give us more information about it, as in how far before or after the game release the demo would be out?

DICE - The demo for BF2 went out about 10 days before launch if I remember correctly, I am sure something similar will be the deal for 2142. We are also going to throw out an open beta in the beginning of August. The beta is predominately to learn about large scale issues, i.e. when we have 10 000�s of people playing at the same time, eliminating some of the problems we have encountered after launch previously in the franchise. Keep your eyes open to join.

Well, we all know Battlefield games have problems at release. A beta and a demo, both public, should help reduce the bugs (not to mention they are using an engine they have more experience with this time around).

Shouldn't they fix the things they have screwed in BF2 before releasing a beta for that new retarded game?

This game dosnt look bad at all, tho i think it will get f*ucked up by the time ea/(dice?) will have control over it and give out patches that some noobs have test out.. but who knows, maybe ea/(dice?) will do something good whit it, like get peopel like me to test it out ;) then the game would only become better and better =)
