The DirecTV Championship Gaming Invitational has aims to introduce gaming to a wider crowd, and to get gaming the acknowledgement it needs. During this event, the gamers will be treated as professional athletes.

This event is of course amazing. It has always been a dream of many European battlefield topteams to fly over to the US to compete with the best clans over there and see how they measure up against the north american aces. Now finally, it is possible. No ping issues or lag festivals just happy fragging. Prizes are 20.000$ for the best team and 10.000$ for the runners-up.
The San Francisco tournament is an invite-only tournament and has invited 1 European and 3 NA clans: Code7, the highly rated
BF2 World Tournament champions will take on Team HOT, 20ID and Team Warchild. Three teams, Code7 has in fact beaten all to win the online World Tournament. Will history repeat itself and will Code7 once again dominate the American teams? Can Code7 handle the pressure of an all important offline tournament? Or will the Americans take over? Re-check soon for more information and team interviews regarding this shock-event.
GotFrag.com will cover this event to the detail.
