Renowned league CEVO is willing to expand to Battlefield 2. This is of course great news. To make this work however, a considerable number of teams need to sign-up. Here is some more information:

CEVO is really just like CAL except there is prize money involved, for the first season it will be a minimum of a $5,000 pot.

CEVO are still considering BF2 and need a list of teams that can guarantee participation so they can start a new league for BF2 (CEVO is VERY popular in the CS community).

If this really does work out and CEVO does accept BF2 as a supported game, things will really start changing for competitive BF2 players and for the popularty of BF2 in general.
