FragTV is moving forward into complete coverage of COD2, CS, as well as, thier continual coverage of BF2. Thier goal is a simple to use interface with 1 click ability to watch your favorite eSports matches. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: First thing I’d like to touch topic on where FragTV came from, was there a previous organization that came together in the forming of FragTV, and was it multiple organizations or just a few close nit people? FragTV: Well, FragTV was a concept of ours once Schetter and I left another organization and joined up with The-Swede over at BFTV. We formally made our name change during the summer from BFTV to FragTV as we are swiftly moving into other games and leagues worldwide. At the moment we are a small organization with a huge following, putting an impressive 36000+ unique views on our streams both live, and archived combined monthly. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: What changes were made along with the name change? FragTV: Well of course with anything major, when you change the name you have to change the face. We put up a temporary site over @ www.fragtv.net but we are still major outlet over at the BFGeeks www.bfgeeks.com network from Europe. In changing our name from BFTV to FragTV, we basically expanded the coverage from Europe to the North American scene. Schetter and I are well known in the BF2 community and we are using this popularity to gain a foothold in others. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: What games is FragTV currently covering, and what games and leagues does it plan on covering in the future? FragTV: We are actively covering Battlefield 2 Call of Duty 2 and in the near future some exceptional Counter Strike series. At the moment we are active in Cyber Athlete League, ClanBase, Electronic Sports League, and Team Warfare League. We are in talk with some prestigious leagues at the moment but I can’t reveal any details on that until it is finalized. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: I have seen quite a few matches broadcasted by FragTV, how do you achieve such a good quality streaming video? FragTV: LOL, now if I told you that, then everyone could do it. I do believe in good competition in this industry but, some information you just have to find out for yourself. I can say a key is to have a great server partner like Milehiservers www.milehiservers.com for reliable connections for viewers to connect to. Also to spend $$ on good reliable equipment, tip the cable guy to up your bandwidth, doesn’t hurt either. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: I have also seen a little snippet of your new website, when will this hit the public eye and how is this site going to take us to the next level of broadcasting. FragTV: Ah our new site… shhhhh!!! This is being incorporated into the entire BFGeeks network. Like I said previously “when you change the name you have to change the face”, this is going to be our new face. Goal is to be simple to use, I am a big believer of that. Click Click Boom. You’re watching live frags or our archive. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: Aside from broadcasting matches, does FragTV intend on maybe doing some weekly shows, like the “Commander’s Report” or maybe having some live interviews in the future? FragTV: Its funny you ask that. I was heavily involved in getting that show off the ground and keeping it running. Our new show is going to be on a little different format, with some new features. A little more rowdy, a lot less conservative, and the panel I have picked so far is quite a feisty bunch. The new name for this coming season is “The Frontline.” GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: I also heard rumors of EA offering some support, what do they have in store for you guys? FragTV: BFGeeks was in a time of need this summer and EA’s Demark office came through big for those guys. We are just the video outlet for it all, it affects in a positive fashion since EA not only sees our quality video feeds but it benefits the competitive community since without the teams we would not be here. In turn the teams get exposure to the game manufacture. Think of us as the glue to holds it all together. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: Is there anything else you would like to add for our readers? FragTV: E-Sports is nothing without the players, their sponsors, the hard earned money we as gamers spend to have an excitable hobby. As an enthusiast I got into casting for fun, and it has turned into a passion, but without the teams of players, we could not exist, that goes for any other organization covering the community (whether they choose to recognize it or not). If one thing I could say is thanks for watching, happy fragging , and when you make it big.. Don’t forget your roots. GotFrag|Burt_Flaxton: Any shout outs? FragTV: To our partner Jarvis over @ MileHiServers The Swede for sleeping while this interview is going on. Ronin the Barbarian!
