This weeks map is Sharqi West, a custom map containing the western half of Sharqi Penninsula. This is a 4 flag map, all 4 flags being cappable. Each team will have the use of 1 tank, there are no APCs or Choppers in this map, so ground work will be any teams best asset. Week 7 Predictions - Sharqi West Ev3rcl3ar vs Team cRucial Sorry guys this is a total mismatch. cRucial has perhaps the most stacked infantry of any team in all of battlefield with Goose, Woc, Doomsday, Timmy, and Buckwild running the point. Ev3rcl3ar meanwhile can only hope to dominate lithoss so thoroughly that the infantry doesn’t matter. Simply put this isn’t going to happen. cRucial could leave the tank at main and still win this one in 2. 2-0 cRucial 20id vs Check-Six MOTW right here. Check-Six has been building for this match for a long time. Their goal when they came into bf2 was to be known as the best and this is their chance to prove it. They are as ready as they’ll ever be as some on the team called Acura and Reeferfiend, “The final pieces to the puzzle”. We’ll see if the puzzle is truly complete this week. Quite honestly the only place I see that 20id notably outclasses Check-Six is at the tanker with Sterex vs Calculated Carnage, however the disparity isn’t exactly game changing. Meanwhile on the other hand this being sharqi west the majority of the game will be decided by the infantry on the ground. Check-six boasts a very talented lineup but I have yet to see them exhibit the true chemistry that 20id has with severed and the rest of the guys over there. This one could go in Check-Six’s favor but you simply don’t bet against a streak. 20id will however lose their second round of the year in this match. 20id 2-1 Eviscerate vs Team Warchild Eviscerate really seems to be hitting their stride now that they’ve got over their opening match jitters. People forget Eviscerate was basically built from the ground up this season but they are really putting it together. Meanwhile Warchild was reeling from the loss of a commander and two starting infantry. However I have learned something after scrimming warchild. Kazanski knows how to run a team plain and simple. He knows how to manipulate the pieces he has to be wildly competitive day in and day out. Eviscerate regardless of individual talent will meet their maker in this matchup. Warchild 2-1 Team HOT vs Rebel Gaming Group RoM has made MARKED improvements this season compared to other squads they’ve had. Razz and Venom have been huge pickups for them and really solidified their infantry core as one of the top in CAL-M. That being said, they are going up against the best infantry core in the world in Team HOT. Jerunk, Whiteblade, Moz, and MichaelD are an almost unstoppable force on the ground. It seems only Kazanski’s mastery of 5v5 tactics can thwart them at this point and even that is purely conjecture. Rom might have the better tanker in M_Proper but simply put when you put 6 HOT infantry on the ground they are going to be very difficult, nigh impossible to stop. HOT 2-0 Warchild vs 20id: Poppycock THE BATTLE OF THE B-TEAMS! Each of these teams will field their 8 pokemon and do battle to please the masters of their respective teams. In all seriousness these are two great open teams who have proven themselves as at least solid midlevel Main teams. You can make arguments about one player or another but at the end of the day this is going to come down to the stability of these organizations over the last few weeks and months. Poppycock has struggled for identity with king, then kraxx then I’m not even sure. Meanwhile, Warchildren has plugged along steadily the whole season and I expect them to continue to do so. Warchild 2-0 FFison vs Paradigm Shift Mismatch. Silver is back. Paradigm is a different team with silver at the helm even with his reported ping problems. Pedhead is a great commander and lt death is a good tanker. But FFison’s infy is going to get destroyed by snarf alone, nevermind the rest of them. Paradigm 2-0 Dynamic vs Impact Impact has really surprised me this season. If you told me they’d be 4-2 at this point I would have laughed at you. Nevertheless they have gotten here on the back of strong teamwork. Dynamic on the other hand has gotten to this point fairly easily as well but I have to be honest I expected more out of dynamic. However, with raccoon leaving their roster they just don’t seem to show the same oomph on infantry that they could have. Also they seem to be prone to dropping a random round here and there. Sounds prime for an upset special. Impact 2-1 |
