| Guild Wars Nightfall takes place on the continent of Elona, Land of the Golden Sun. It is a nation comprised of three great provinces; The island province of Istan is the home of a vibrant people who live among the monuments of an ancient empire. The military province of Kourna, under the command of its great leader, Warmarshal Varesh, hugs the shores of the mighty river Elon. And in the rugged lands to the north, the Princes of Vabbi rule from their opulent citadels. Elona is a land of wealth and power, protected by its champions, the Order of the Sunspears. In Guild Wars Nightfall, Elona has fallen under the shadow of an evil, outcast god. Against the encroaching desolation of an infernal realm, the people of Elona will need more than a hero to save them, they will need a hero to lead them. . .for nightfall is at hand. |

gw and wow are both kind of bad though
Guildwars:
-gets boring after you max out your lvl
-pvp is a drag and not well built
-easy ways and really bad exploits to get gold
World of warcraft:
-40% of the game is leveling, the other 60% is actually having fun and pvp
-Really good money system
-dont have to spend 80 gold on some stupid signet

I played the game for a while and i didn't like it anymore than GW. Big BIG waste of money.
I think wow has way better graphics the guild wars. Obviously you dont care about gameplay, the only thing you care about in graphics.

I didn't mean to come off like I only cared about graphics, I hate source. Imo WoW's story is lacking and the trilogy should have ended with WC3. I think WC3's story is better. I've heard people say it's not about the story but why play an rpg that doesn't have a story.
To talk about gameplay though, WoW was really boring to me. By cheap looking I don't only mean graphics, the sounds suck also. Also, the idea of paying $15 for a game every month, when they clearly could have made things better (spent more money) makes me sick. Don't get me wrong, both games suck imo, WoW is just worse.

Wow became boring after lvl40 when I finally had the mount (dunno why :p ). After that I've sold my acc.
Guild wars became boring after having played all the missions. Imo the Pvp-part isn't fun at all.
When I was 14, 15, I actually loved Rpgs but this 'period' is over. And nowadays, I exlusively play Cs 1.6 and NO game besides. :)
guild wars graphics BLOWS wow's out of the water
yet the gameplay in WoW blow's GW's out of the water
so it depends on what you're into - eye candy or gameplay.
personally i find something great in both of the games but thats just me.
also i think combat is a LOT more fun in guildwars because you can fight more than 1 guy your level and not risk dying
Guildwars PvP gameplay > WoW PvP gameplay.
WoW PvE gameplay > Guildwars PvE gameplay.
go get a life and play 1-2 hours gw instead of 12h+ wow.
gw might start to appeal to me depending on its content , wow over all rpgs but still i dont like to pay 15$ a month for it....idc wat its for...
i have a life and i hate playing mmorpgs, but for about 6 months i did NOTHING but play swg. i was a master bounty hunter and hunted player jedis for a while, then i owned my own buisness where i made on average about 12mil credits a day on resources, and about 20mil selling weapons/armor.
if ur looking for a real fun p2p mmorpg, swg is where it is at.
