i need an FPS config. im getting 25-40 fps on cod4 but i get in the 100's on all of my other games.

just put settings on low, shadows off etc.

i have the exact same setup but w/4 gigs and get 90-100 with all graphics turned on high and 2x AA. somethings going a bit wrong there.

how many processes do you have running?

is your cpu/gpu overheating?

is your sync turned on by any chance? if it is it might cause major fps drops

he hasn't mentioned certain components like psu etc. not all about omg mines like yours it must be good, certain pieces work better with other components.

haha my 1.8 ghz and X1300 gfx card can play it really nice. Everything on low of course. But it still is alot of fun! :)

i have nearly the same issue with my notebook:
- 2 go of memory
- 8600M GS (which is good for that kind of comp, and yes i have the last drivers fot it )
- coreduo 2,20ghz
- vista 32 bits

and i only have 70 fps constant , somebody could help me plz ?

yeh switch to xp...

With my E6750 + 7600GT i can get 800FPS, so how do you get 40 fps with a quad core + 8800, something is seriously wrong there

#19 all you will get is 70 constant the 8600 GS is quite weak, be happy its all you need. Set your maxpackets at 70 so you can be 1:1 with your fps for optimum reg.

Got myself a new PSU and 8800GT 256MB and now 125 constant on 1240x1024, AA 2X, AF 8x :)

i got intel core 2 duo, 8800gt, 2 gig ram, and a gigabyte mobo.. on high settings im getting like 200-700 fps mostly like 200-400 constant.. so you need to check drives, updates, settings.. idk.. v-sync off AA off all the non needed bullsh*t off

If you recently made a hardware change and are not getting desirable fps, reformat.

My 7950GX2 was getting 77 fps, except when a car blew up, a nade went off, it got too grassy or etc, at 640x480, shadows off, dynamic lights off, everything low/off

I tried an 8800 GTX and now get 125 constant, at 1280x1024 shadows on dynamic lights on everything high

got a 8800gtx + 6600 = 125 constant + i can get 200 fps, but its gets 188-190 etc

i tried some of these cfgs, and pb kicks me for cvar decals 0 stuff like that. can anyone explain why? thx in advance.

well im not american, but its legal in most EU leagues, the only thing i ever need to change is the r_lodscalerigid command

cope. did you build it yourself? if you bought it from a company and its still under warrenty, then send that sht back and ask for a replacement or a fix. if you built it yourself, your doing something wrong.
