I think that is one of the best things to happen in gaming ever, one of the 'top' Anti-cheats got embarrassed beyond belief, so maybe punkbuster will pull there finger out and actually do something about the cheaters that plague games.

Yeah, there isn't enough competition in the Anti-Cheat market so even if they do a bad job, they don't really have to worry.

never said it was a good response. and if you get sent the strings, follow there adive and close irc before you play you will still get kicked for having them in your virtual memory.. Its not in irc/msn either there in google ads! (seriously). I have seen strings for CoD, CoD2, CoD4, Q3, BF2, BF2142, AA, ET (think there is one for etqw too :x)

They basically have no substantial evidence besides from PBSS of people who hacked. Great.

lol nice response EB. They're like 'UHHH DONT DOWNLOAD FILES LOL' but then they say it's a 'string', so you wouldn't need to download a file anyway, as long as the string is in your IRC window, even if you close it (unless RAMs overwritten after a long-ish wait), you'll get kicked. Nice PB, nice.

I guess this is good news? Not really.

It's a good thing that they leaked this information but they aren't any better for it. I don't blame people who exploit PB and dig into the code because they enjoy coding/programming. I do hate the people that cheat just because they are awful though.
