Maybe a noob question but, why do the competitive teams use the AKs over say M4 with a red dot? In the demos I have viewed iron sights are used almost exclusively. Are the iron sights quicker, or do hits register better or what?

well in eu we dont use redot for proffesional teams, but the ak47 has better stopping power than the M4 thats why teams use it more. Although i know lighters and lookzor use M4.

they use aks because they are overpowered, imbalanced and their recoil is almost zero

and about the red dots euros ruleset disable it and na is following the same path

it's preference really. m4 takes an extra bullet or so to kill than the AK. both guns basically are interchangeable, m4 for better long range accuracy vs. AK for stopping power.

for all the euros, most na people use ak or m4 without red dot... atleast that i have seen. correct me if im wrong.

NA are the the only ones that use red dot these days. (Except for the public people)

M4 with reddot > AK, but since reddot makes life far 2 easy, we use the AK, wich deals more damage but is harder to control

when i played an NA pug, i went to pick my weapon only to see that they had red dot on by default :D:D

AK with no gun sway is simply the most overpowered gun in any game ever.

i prefer m4, just personal preference, find it really good on vacant especially.

vacant is hallways and u use a distance gun as pref. Weird imo, AK would fit much better since ur opponent dies by 2 bullets.

#21 why clueless? with the less recoil and the fact you generally only see heads if you play A the m4 works well, m4 is a distance gun don't understand wth your on about :S ak74 rules vacant anyway.
