I have a problem. I'm very anti-hack and was testing one hack to see what it is, how to recognize it and what to do against it. So I was testing a hack some time ago and got caught by punkbuster on a public CoD2 server and banned on guid with my IP published with it. I never did it in a war/cup/whatever. I know that this is my own fault coz it's more save to let evenbalance do the testing and I'm not asking for an unban.
As I said I'm not an hardcore hacker myself and I'm active in Clanbase, I had an account there with the CoD2 guid (the guid that is now banned). I have informed clanbase about this account, that has the CoD2 guid that is banned, myself. I know clanbase bans for cheating on public servers for 6 months and I'm willing to wait until this period is over without coming back in the meantime.
Now I want to know if I can still play on clanbase and such later. My IP has changed in the meantime and since I want to play CoD4 for clanbase so did my guid.
But now I wonder what will hapen with my new clanbase account (the one with the CoD4 guid) that I will make when the 6 months are over.
I also wonder what will happen if I register myself on websites such as esl.eu. Will they do nothing because I never had an account there so they can't ban me for anything? Will they permban me as soon as they find out that I cheated in a public server once? Will they ban me for 6 months?
I'm just wondering if this still is possible. My IP has changed and since I want to play cod4 for cb so did my guid. But there are some ways to link me afterall.
Can someone give me answers? I'm getting a bit worried.
TL;DR since your IP has changed and you have a new key you can make a new account on cb and bypass the banhammer try not to login on your old account with your new ip though

#2 the ban is only for six months. And I think there are some ways to get between my accounts afterall. If I post on a forum with my old IP and my new IP on the same account it is a proof that I used both the IP's. I had the CoD4 guid before I had the new IP, maybe there are servers that have me logged while I was playing with my old IP (that is published with the banned CoD2 guid) and my CoD4 guid. It is also possible that I ever go cod2 1.3 by mistake and have my new IP linked with my banned cod2 guid.
I don't like to keep things secret that I've done and I'm willing to wait 6 months so that I can play on Clanbase again. But what will esl.eu for example when they find out I've ever been guidbanned when I tested a hack in a CoD2 public server?
#1 and #5, you're a fuc king idiot congrats. Might want to turn off punkbuster before you try to do something stupid. You deserve to be banned for stupidity.
Don't "test" hacks online. Do it offline with some bots or something. Or better yet, don't do it at all. Also, if you do it offline, make sure to disable your NIC first.
rofl, don't worry. Clanbase don't ban half the known hackers using banned GUIDs (eg on PsB or PBBans), so you'll be fine. The admins won't check from one game to another, and seeing as you have a new IP, no-one there will find out.

But as I said: i never had an account on esl.eu for example. If I register myself there will I also be banned if they know I cheated? Sounds pretty weird to me to get banned for registering yourself while you ever got guidbanned on another game for using a hack in a public server. Will they ban me for that? :/
And wtf just search clanbase on 'cheating in public server'. 1568 hits in the last 6 months, and this are just the ppl that were banned probably there are more than 3000 hf.
though, i kinda have the same. a bs-ban. was on a lan with some friends @ my home of mine who hacked while i was asleep, its on my ip so im screwed. Got a 6month ban on cb also, though i made a banappeal and admins are workin on it since it isnt one of my guids. So that wont work for you imo.
If you cant wait for 6 months and you do have a new ip.. Make a new cb account, ofc with a other name/email/city etc. Buy a new cod4 and ur untraceable.
well i got banned to , cod2 pub hax. Really cool when youve attend several lans etc. trying to play opencup prem. leg. and then you cant because something happend 2 years ago.

You can still join leagues on CB with the same GUID + account, as long as you don't get caught again! :P
