Format: All matches will be played in a “Search and Destroy” Five (5) vs Five (5) format. Both teams must be able to field at least Four (4) rostered players for the match. If any team cannot afford Four (4) rostered players for the match, they will forfeit. There will be 10 rounds per half. The first team to reach 11 points wins the match, no need to play-out.
Screenshots: BOTH teams are required to take screenshots of the scoreboard at half-time and once a team reaches 11. Also, BOTH teams must take screenshots of the “/pb_plist” query. A screenshot of the “/rcon status” query must also be taken by the team who has rcon access. Screenshots may be taken with the “/screenshotjpeg” command. All screenshots must be kept for the entirety of the F3 tournament, regardless of if you or your team have been eliminated or not.
Demos: ALL players participating in any F3 match for any duration of time must record the entirety of their play during the match. Additionally, the match demos must be kept during the entire duration of the F3 tournament, even if you or your team have been eliminated. F3 Admins will, at random, choose lucky individuals or teams to submit their demos for review. Moreover, any team being disputed will be required to submit all demos for review as well. Any team or player not submitting demos at the request of an F3 Admin will forfeit the match whose demo is in question.
Modifications: Other than the approved PAM, no other game modifications are allowed. Moreover, only the F3 approved PAM mode may be allowed for competition. Use of any other PAM mode will result in both teams having to replay the match in question.
Timeouts: No timeouts will be allowed during the match. If necessary any team can call a Dead Round (DR). Exploiting timeouts or Dead Rounds is illegal, and may cost teams rounds or the match, at Admin discretion. Additionally, individual players may be suspended from play, at Admin discretion.
Dead Rounds: Dead Rounds will not count toward the final score of the game. If a DR is called, both teams must wait the duration of the ENTIRE ROUND TIME (do not end DR's early by killing the enemy), or until the team calling the DR is ready to go live. All rounds that were deemed “dead” will be replayed after the match ends, unless one of the teams reaches a score of 11 (excluding DR's). Please keep track of the game score. Each team is allowed 2 Dead Rounds per match.
Substitutions: If any player gets disconnected from a match, they are allowed to reconnect and rejoin their team. Alternatively, eligible players may be substituted. These substitutions may only occur if a player is experiencing technical difficulties, or at half-time. Additionally, these substitutions are allowed if and only if a dead round is called to verify the eligibility of the substituted player (unless at half-time).
In-Game Comms: Aside from miscellaneous sportsmanlike gestures, only communication between team leaders is permitted. All unsportsmanlike conduct will be punished at F3 Admin discretion.
Spectators: Other than F3 Admins and F3 authorized spectators, no other spectators will be allowed. If any spectator is questionable, please contact an F3 Admin via IRC.
Match Start: Teams have a 15 minute grace period, beginning from the scheduled match time, to get all eligible players in the server. If a team can only field four (4) players before the 15 minute grace has elapsed, they may only use four (4) players until Half-Time.
Half-Time: Both teams are allowed a 15 minute break in between halves. During this time, any eligible players may be substituted. Screenshots of scores must be taken at half (and new pb_plist and status screenshots if players are substituted). Going over the 15 minute grace period may result in punishment of those at fault, at F3 Admin discretion.
