...MW2 is going to be a total console port with a few exclusive PC features such as: "custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings." "100ms pings" "max player numbers 9v9" "no demo recording"
meh, fvck video games. no point in playing any game today, honestly. i'm just waiting till another good game like CS 1.6/vCOD/2 come out, till then fvck competitive gaming and screw iw.
>:O IW u have ruined what could have been a game worth playing for a while.
It's a strategy game, it gets updated every month or so, it's been the game of the year etc. Even if you don't like the game, those videos are worth watching, they display great use of tactics and other stuff, and often crack you up with the simplest of things.
>:o doesn't look that bad, but i'd rather focus on soccer than eSports now, looks like something decent to watch while bored on PC. if other developer companies decide to follow the same path, fvck esports.
Agreed men! Honestly I feel so disappointed. There hasn't been a eSport worthy title in years. I remember 2007 when Modern Warfare, TF2 and Quake Live were on everyone's mouths. But these past couple of years all you see is more and more developer tailoring games for consoles and completely ignoring serious multiplayer games.
Recently there has only been one game I've been playing and that's Heroes of Newerth. Hell even Quake is getting boring, no new maps or content... come on.
Left 4 Dead 2 and Modern Warfare 2 that's our future for us FPS enthusiasts. That's why we will slowly see more people trying out other genres to get their pwning on. StarCraft 2 and Diablo 3 will dominate the multiplayer community once they hit.
I'm working on my apm and RTS skills because we will see some new titles be the face of eSports real soon. BTW try Hereos of Newerth, pretty solid game and it's free to play for now.
Man, who would have thought that the one genre it was pretty much accepted that sucked in consoles is the one thriving today :S I kinda hoped developers would have given up by now and focused on developing good plat-formers and stuff more suited for consoles.
Of course all of this is my opinion and I could be wrong.

If you can read this, I can slam on my brakes and sue you!
yeah quake live wasn't all that fun.. got pretty boring quickly :/
our only chance is for somebody to make another gmae like CS or vcod, and that person/group has to be a developing team that is making the game ONLY for competitive play. i think CSPromod will be the future, that is if it has good gameplay that matches 1.6's. if not, we'll just wait and wait... till we finally are forced to play games for fun :/
it's official...
"custom stuff like mouse control, text chat in game, and graphics settings."
"100ms pings"
"max player numbers 9v9"
"no demo recording"

The worst part about it is that the game is actually going to sell. Not only xbox, but PC users are retreating, and pre-ordering/ordering it again.
So much for balls.

and it'll be more fun to pub than dust2 for a while.

It's my alternative to FPS games, the only thing.
