Gotfrag's monthly European top 10 returns! Liam "crow" Crowley takes you through the results.

The results are in and it is time to unveil the official Gotfrag Call of Duty 2 European Rankings. Based on votes from the main European community sites and teams collected by Gotfrag's CoD2 staff, this month's rankings reflect the dominance Serious have inflicted on the scene, winning shgOpen 2007 and Netgamez as well as the latest CoDQCup. The remaining teams trail behind the former digitalMind side but will be hoping to turn things around at the upcoming CPC2 lan event. As we return to releasing monthly rankings here at Gotfrag you can expect a new top 10 to arrive in the weeks after the Crossfire event so be sure to check back to see if Serious can hang on to their top spot.

So without further ado, we present to you the Gotfrag Call of Duty 2 European Rankings...

It's no surprise at all to see Serious top March's European rankings after their incredible run of form, even without their star sniper Solz. A win at Netgamez and in the March edition of the CoDQCup has confirmed the fact that they are still the number one team in Europe, at least until Tek-9 or Dignitas can get their act together and start to play with some consistency. A lot rests on the results at the Crossfire PrizeFight Challenge next week and Speedlink and Logitech will be looking to get in on the action as well. These four teams complete the top 5 and from the points values given you can see how separated this upper echelon has become from the teams below. Copenhagen-Eposrt, in 6th, are nearly 150 points behind the 5th placed Speedlink, who appear to be in top form following their return to activity with Z1n.

As spread out as the top 5 are, the bottom 5 are nail-bitingly close, with a stray vote here or there making all the difference. As we mentioned above, Copenhagen do manger to come out on top, but only by an astonishing 2 points. The former inteRaction team, now nEophyte, have proved they can roll with the big names of European Call of Duty 2 with some impressive results in the ESL IPS qualifers, including a comprehensive win over Tek-9. Oxid, H2k and Reason fill up the remaining slots and without a doubt, each will be aiming to move up the rankings over the next few months. H2k would undoubtedly be higher if they had managed to win Netgamez, where their lack of experience showed as Serious managed to defeat them from the lower bracket. Nonetheless the addition of Mitox and roEl really seems to have strengthened the lineup and many onlookers have tipped them to do well at CPC2. Reason travel to i30 this weekend to have another shot at Dignitas in an event that has become little more than a glorified bootcamp for CPC2 for some teams and the UK sides in attendance should be able to travel to Holland the following weekend in top form.
