Team Phonetic have announced the addition of a new Call of Duty 4 squad based in the UK. Built from the remnants of the old EYEROLLERS side, the new team will be looking to prove themselves in the increasingly competitive UK Call of Duty scene and have set their sights on attending i33 to begin with. While Pal and iRich provide a foreign twist, the core of the team is a solid base upon which to build and Phonetic will be hoping their gamble with the brand new roster pays off. There is no shortage of LAN experience in this team - with numerous i-series events to their respective names - but the pressure will now be on the new Phonetic players to step up to the level of the teams we saw competing for the i32 title; Dignitas, CoolerMaster, TLR and 4Kings. With a number of months to go before their next offline event, the team will have ample time to prepare but will also have to keep a stable lineup if they are aiming to pull off an upset. The new Team Phonetic squad will line up as follows. rzE Edd chr1ss Pal iRichPhonetic manager Core announced the news on the team's homepage. "Team-Phonetic are very excited about the up and coming talent we have with the new Call of Duty 4 team, the Phonetic management definitely feel that this is a lineup that will put our tag up in lights. Our new squad will be looking to prepare for the i33 event and will show there true skill online and whether they can make it in the cut throat competition of UK gaming, however we have every confidence in our new team and we feel they will compete well in both online and offline events." Team captain rzE also added a few words on behalf of his teammates. "We as a team are pleased to be joining Team-Phonetic. We love the new style of play in Call of Duty 4 and can't wait for a match mode to be sorted. Our new line-up is formed from the old EYEROLLERS from Call of Duty 2 and with the edition of Edd to the team I feel we can look forward to what lies ahead." |
