Call Of Duty: Speedlink add niTro and humM3L

By: Liam Crowley - Published December 27, 2007 at 7:30 PM EST - Writer Archive
Team Speedlink have announced the addition of Daniel "humM3L" Müller and Ralf "niTro" Beyer, both of whom join from German rivals Legendary.
The pair will replace Timm "Kickzz" Lücke and Andre "Soulreaper" Greulich, who have been dropped by new team captain Michael "Trigger" Sowa. After Enrico "Fuchsstute" Ausborn's departure "the remaining hard core of the team realized that something must change" Sowa explained. "Timm and Andi are both really great personalities, but we saw at the end that they are not the progress we need".

Sowa saw Legendary's Daniel "humM3L" Müller and Ralf "niTro" Beyer as the ideal additions to his new project, describing them as being "among the best players in Germany". Beyer pointed to "internal problems and difficulties" as the reason for their departure but, as usual, the lure of increased support from Speedlink could easily have been just as big a factor. It is now believed that Legendary will no longer continue, with Volkan "thunder" Kocakahya admitting he saw no future for the team.

Daniel "humM3L" Müller's addition is of particular interest, as the 22 year old German represents perhaps the first Enemy Territory player to successfully make the switch to Call of Duty 4 and make it into an established top side. Müller is well known for his time with teams such as Auxilia, HighBot and GMPO in both RTCW and Enemy Territory and has numerous honors to his name. "I enjoyed my ET time really much but CoD4 is a new and good feeling and I'm happy that I changed my game" Müller admits, "it's fast, skilled and tactical at the same time and the community is amazingly big".

The new-look Speedlink Call of Duty 4 team will line up as follows.

Germany Michael "Trigger" Sowa
Germany Daniel "phY1" Belger
Germany Michael "spaR" Ege
Germany Daniel "humM3L" Müller
Germany Ralf "niTro" Beyer
