After a two week break, single elimination playoff action is set to kick off in CEVO's Finish the Fight tournament.
Over 200 teams registered for CEVO’s inaugural Call of Duty 4 free entrance tournament. Only 32 teams survived the slings of group play and have advanced to the single elimination playoff. A week ago it was announced that the top eight finishers would gain automatic entrance into the first season of CEVO-Professional. As a result, teams are playing for much more than the small cash pot and server giveaways. The first round of elimination play commences on Thursday, January 3 at mp_backlot. From their, rounds will follow every Monday and Thursday. The first round of play sees plenty of familiar faces as well as a few new names fighting to stay alive. Most of the big name teams have comparatively easy first round opponents, but there are a few standout matches which ought to be very close. Fabricated Xecution vs. Up Front, RiVE vs. HFE, and Final Destination vs. unx are several that come to mind. This tournament will serve as a chromatography column of sorts, separating the exceptional from the mediocre. Only time will tell who will fall into each group. (Next Page: Event Brackets) Page:
