Call Of Duty: Four new faces in for 4Kings

By: Michael Westin - Published January 02, 2008 at 9:12 PM EST - Writer Archive
4Kings have announced four new additions to their Call of Duty 4 roster; Lee "pain" Hannah, Ben "benz1ne" Bell, Andy "RcO" Hesky and Zack "Skipz" Jones.
The news confirms recent rumors on crossfire.nu and sees Aaron "wiz" Jones, Steven "Junior" Drabble and Liam "crow" Crowley dropped from the team. "Some players couldn't play to their potential and others were not active enough" team captain Phill "palmz" Palmer explained, "we had to make the changes". The three departing players were unavailable for comment and have yet to announce any future plans in Call of Duty 4.

The move sees 4Kings switch to a six-man lineup with ex-Dignitas players Zack "Skipz" Jones and Ben "benz1ne" Bell - now cleared of all contractual obligations - joining Lee "pain Hannah and Andy "RcO" Hesky, formerly of Team Redemption. Jones and Hannah remained free agents for most of 2007 while Bell enjoyed a spell on loan with Reason-Gaming following his removal from the Dignitas roster.

4Kings manager Gavin Wakes described the new lineup as having "the potential and stability needed to succeed" and pointed to the team's recent 4th place finish in the Crossfire Qcup as evidence of this. Having overcome the likes of Legendary and UK rivals TLR, the new 4Kings squad eventually lost 2-0 to EYE in the semi finals. The team have now set their sights on attending both i33 and CDC4, where they will be looking to improve upon a disappointing 4th place finish at i32.

4Kings' new Call of Duty 4 roster will line up as follows.

United Kingdom Sam "corp" Peoples
United Kingdom Phill "palmz" Palmer
United Kingdom Lee "pain" Hannah
United Kingdom Ben "benz1ne" Bell
United Kingdom Andy "RcO" Hesky
United Kingdom Zack "Skipz" Jones
