$500 to the winner in the Grand Finals of CEVO's introductory CoD4 Finish the Fight tournament.
It's been a long time since CEVO's Finish the Fight tournament began, seven weeks to be exact. Through the weeks we've seen our fair share of upsets, blowouts, roster changing, roster dumping, celebrations and complaints. Hundreds of matches later, two teams stand alone in the wake of those that have fallen. CEVO CoD4 Head of Game Ian Tannehill states: "I'm glad to see two great teams in the finals. I'm looking foward to seeing an excellent match out of them, and out of the third place match as well. Thanks to all the teams that participated , and thanks to everyone for their input in helping us create a successful ruleset." Those two great teams he was talking about have a lot to play for Monday night. On one side is 50calibre, a team applauded for its intense preparation and attention to detail. They head into the Grand Finals with only eight rounds against total throughout the playoffs. Under SquiLL's leadership, the group has come a long way and would love to cap off CEVO's inaugural event with a championship. Their opponents, Guardians, are no strangers to championship matches. They are led by two time CEVO-P winner Havax and the rest of the roster has more 1st place finishes combined than worth counting.

Guardians member Brett comments: "I couldn't feel any better about the way we're playing so far. Sure we've had some close matches, but it's the teamwork and chemistry we have built that's really impressed me. With school starting this week, we've had little time to practice and what not, but we will definitely get going by this weekend. 50cal is a great bunch of nerds. You will usually find me and ray hanging out on thier vent when we're bored. The team is full of virgins, but I still love them. I expect our match to be a real NRd vs NRd battle and can't wait to see them on strike."

The championship match is scheduled for Monday, January 21 and it will be played on mp_strike. First place walks away with $500 while the runner-up makes a fashionable $350. Additionally, the lower bracket finals match is scheduled for Thursday night and features Sinister (formerly FX) against makeSHIFT. The winner here will earn $150 while the loser goes home emptyhanded.
