Maps for Competitive Play

mp_crash: As mentioned above, mp_crash has been one of the early favorites in Call of Duty 4 and is a good map to start off with. The centrally located crash site plays host to most of the action but watch out for attackers making their way down the flank to the B bomb site too.

mp_vacant: Despite not being as overwhelmingly popular as mp_crash, this tightly spaced map does have its supporters and is a regular sight in tournament play. SMG's are the order of the day and control of the central garden is key to victory.

mp_strike: Another popular choice, mp_strike is a varied map with two contrasting bomb sites on offer. The wide open A site is a regular hive of activity but the further back - and often under-defended - B site is an equally viable option for attackers.

mp_crossfire: Reminiscent of CoD2's mp_burgundy, this map earns its name from the dangerous road crossing the attackers must attempt in order to reach the closest bomb site. Exploding cars, enemy snipers and stray grenades are some of the many perils the offensive side are up against.

mp_citystreets: Also known as "District", mp_citystreets features three main open areas; the A site, the mid market and the B street. Control of each is crucial to the defenders and can prove the difference between victory and defeat.

mp_backlot: A fast paced map where the action comes hard and fast, mp_backlot was another of the early favorites in Call of Duty 4. A quick rush to the A bomb site is an easy option for the attackers but slow pushes through the mid area can be equally effective.
