The NERV LAN in Allentown Pennsylvania is setting up to be the biggest Call of Duty LAN in North America in quite a long time. With a substantial entrance fee and 30 teams already prepaid, the prize pool has grown significantly and everyone is eagerly awaiting the event. Tonight, the official seeds for the double elimination tournament have been released. The seeds play a significant part because they are not random and will determine the makeup of the tournament bracket.

UPDATE: Due to continued disputes regarding the seven map structure, Chimpae has announced that if team leaders from 20 attending teams email him requesting a change to five maps, it will be done. His email is gomezm@gmail.com.

why would you run 7 different maps at a lan, especially when probably half of the teams attending have had little to no practice on a lot of the maps(considering the high # of pugs or teams with only 4 starters etc)?

#12 it's true there was a lot of controversy about pipeline/vacant but if both were removed it would probably make everyone happy

u only need 5 for a lan, remove both playing 7 diff maps is just gonna make for some random play later in the tourney

I've only scrimmed 2 maps with my team since i got back, need to start picking it up. Last week before the LAN is what i like to call CrunchTime.

why not make it 5 maps. its not 2 late.

oh man these brackets are not good, redo them please. I want to eliminate EG and Pandemic on rounds 1 and 2, not 3 and 4.

4 matches will be played on friday night, with the tournament finishing sunday.

Still wish it was a 5 map LAN but either way I'm happy. I guess chimpae folds under pressure.

#23 like muse said, four matches will get underway Friday night, the rest of the games are set to begin Saturday morning. Myself and muse will be in attendance providing up to the minute scoreboard updates. Probably gonna toss in some player iviews and a recap too~~

And e-rev will be shoutcasting the matches as they have done in the past.

im so pist right now the biggest one so far and i cant go :( hackett its all ur fault :P j/k i will enjoy watching this lan and updates from home.

good to know that you should keep your mouth shut about things, this is final for maps, seeds, and everything else in between, if any teams drop out that will turn into a BYE. If you dont like it simply dont show. Next time I do this it will be setup a bit better after dealing with this experience. If you still have a problem with it dan you can talk to me in person at the LAN. GL to all teams and players.

Ya, 7 map lan with only 5 rounds in upper bracket is dumb. Especially when the best map in the game isnt even played in the winners bracket(strike)....or crossfire for that matter.

Id rather see both pipeline and vacant removed then not have strike played in the winners bracket,

BUT HEY GL GUYS. Should be a fun lan. #10, pandemic are the favorites :P

#30 I can promise you that you will never set up another lan again after all the folding you have done thus far. You came out with an original maplist and seedings and then you go back and change that and expect people to agree with you rofl. You are just lucky that the lans only a week away or many teams would have already backed out. And I would be glad to tell that to you in person at the lan center.

CS only has 4 or 5 maps they play. This game only needs that much...

What continued disputes. The teams you are asking to vote were the same teams that voted to put those maps in. So now your asking the same teams that you told to vote to vote again? Let's be consistent.

i think it's pretty ridiculous that chimpae seeds his team 15th. Making history, loading, empath and irev are all better teams. Making history 21st? wtf.

oh well, the LAN will still be great and the best team will still prevail

brackets were clearly made to give panther the hardest road to the finals.

everyone relax please.. cut him some slack.. the only reason he changed seedings and maplist is to make the COMMUNITY happy. whether it did or not isnt the point. IM not going to say i agree/disagree with the way he went about things..
I just appreciate all the time and effort he put into organizing this event and i know i really wouldnt spend that much time doing it.. (my girl needs the sausage on a regular basis)
