Total Gaming League announce TGL-P invites, pro-placement tournament, and scheduling details.
The TGL Last Stand tournament came to an end Tuesday night with Pandemic walking away as champions with $1500 for their efforts. Wasting no time, TGL have announced details concerning their upcoming regular season. Similar to CEVO, TGL will be having a Professional and an Open division right from the beginning. The season is scheduled to start on April 24 but the time between then and now will not be spent twiddling thumbs. Thirteen teams have been extended automatic invites into CEVO-Professional and there remain four vacancies. To fill these spots, sixteen additional teams have been invited to participate in a professional placement tournament that will begin on April 3. The four placement finalists will join the 13 invites to form a 17 team league with matches twice a week such that each team plays everyone once.
TGL requires no entrance fee for participation and they are offering a $5000 prize pot for season 1 with $3500 going to the Professional division and $1500 going to the Open division. Interestingly, TGL will be using a different ruleset from the one presently being used in CEVO. In a step toward a united international ruleset, TGL will be played without deep impact or red dot. The specops guns are being limited to 2 per team and the lerp4 fix will still be in effect for sniper rifles.
