Call Of Duty: wizinium out for MGL

By: Liam Crowley - Published April 06, 2008 at 11:17 AM EDT - Writer Archive
The team formerly known as MGL have announced the departure of William "wizinium" Hunter as well as their move to Sample This.
MGL first hit the headlines in February of 2008 with a 5th-6th place finish in the CoDQCup and have today decided to make the switch to a fully Dutch speaking lineup by removing William "wizinium" Hunter. The team's only UK player and former leader, Hunter was disappointed with the team's decision but wished them luck with their new lineup.

"I have been in [the team] from the start and I am disappointed about being removed for a Benelux lineup even though I can see where they are coming from" he says. "I am also very disappointed about the way it was communicated and this has annoyed me some what".

Ex-DCC player Robin "robyYE" Swaters will replace Hunter in the lineup, taking the spot of sixth player. Jean "JRaven" Mertz also joins as team manager and is believed to be behind the team's new name, "Sample This". "I think all members of the team are very skilled but they lacked the professional approach required these days to survive as a top team" Mertz explained. The new lineup's first outing will come tonight against 4Kings in the ClanBase EuroCup and they are also planning to attend "The Party 6" in the Netherlands.

These changes leave the new Sample This side with an all-Benelux six-man roster.
