Call Of Duty: Begrip sign sTRASH

By: Liam Crowley - Published April 23, 2008 at 4:47 PM EDT - Writer Archive
Begrip have completed the acquisition of the Swedish Trash Call of Duty 4 side.
The Swedish team have impressed in recent weeks and despite their short history have secured the support of one of Scandinavia's biggest names, Begrip Gaming. A victory over MYM in the CoDQCup group stages was the first hint of the side's potential and sTRASH went on to secure an impressive top eight placing with wins over k1ck and inteRaction.

Team captain Conney "KyoChi" Sjöberg speaks of the honor of wearing the Begrip tag, saying "all of the Swedish 1.6 stars have in one way or another been part of Begrip... over the past years they've established themselves as a top organization with teams competing in all the major events". The new Begrip squad will set their sights on emulating fnatic, who have taken up where WHO Crew long ago left off in representing Sweden at the highest level of Call of Duty.

Begrip manager Vasili Richardsson was also eager to follow in the footsteps of the likes of fnatic, MYM and 4Kings in gaining a foothold in the rapidly expanding European Call of Duty 4 market. "We have been talking to many CoD4 teams but it never felt quite right until Swedish Trash approached us" he admitted, "all the players are from Sweden living close to each other and showing immense hunger to travel and compete". "All other pieces felt into place and we decided to go for it" he explained.

The new Begrip Gaming Call of Duty 4 squad will line up as follows.

Sweden Conney "KyoChi" Sjöberg
Sweden Andreas "midnajt" Forsberg
Sweden Tom "Multra" Andersson
Sweden Kalle "FrGzR" Carldén
Sweden Isak "Isaak" Danielsson
