Only two weeks remain in CEVO-Professional's second season.
Everybody knew it would happen and, despite best efforts and intentions, it finally has. CEVO-Professional has been reduced to equal parts matches and forfeits. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, as those dead teams sport a combined record of 6-29. Most of the viable competitive sides still remain in tact, despite present uncertainty surrounding the future of LFS. The show must go on for CoD4.NA's most competitive division and so it will with 6:2 matches getting underway tonight.
Of the eight scheduled games, results are already in ahead of schedule for five of them. Of course, this is not out of the ordinary now that 3 games are being forfeited each night. Seraphic forfeited to x3o, iO forfeited to MainGear, and rSports forfeited to Awakening. FocaL met Iconic in a double-header Thursday night and took care of business with a 14-10 win, increasing their win streak to eight. Speaking of win streaks, EG added their eighth W in the win column Sunday night as they continue to be perfect. EG did so through a 17-7 dismantling of former powerhouse 50cal. After starting their season 6-0, 7-4 is hardly a place they want to be, but 50cal are still a safe bet for making playoffs.
Three matches remain unplayed: Eso vs. Dynamic, Eximius vs. Pandemic, and LFS vs. MoBdeep. The first two are scheduled to be played this evening while the third remains unscheduled. Good luck, have fun, and look to GotFrag for score updates throughout the night.
