By: Jeff Suckow - Published November 12, 2008 at 10:22 PM EST - Writer Archive
The first update for the DAMN:WW competitive mod has been released, updating it to v1.2.
Only a day after the initial release of the DAMN: World at War competitive modification, Stephen "MavLP" Groat has released an update. The update addresses some of the early concerns and feedback received thus far.

Since mod tools have not been released yet, certain changes have not been made just yet, which includes menu systems and adding/changing sounds. Below are the release notes. You can download the file from GotFrag by clicking HERE.

1.2 Notes

SMGs are now more powerful. They do more damage to the gut and upper arms than previously before. This should fix the imbalance with the weapons.

Ready up icons will now correctly display your status
Hit icons are now fixed where it doesn't show if you are hit through a wall or hit by a grenade
The occasional freeze when hitting someone should be fixed.

1.15 Notes

Cars and Barrels no longer explode.
Asthetics improved on the class selection system
Added in the MR10 ruleset. So now you have mr15, mr12, and mr10 options.

1.1 Notes

Fixed the glitch where it crashes when everyone ready's up
Your ready up icon now shows the correct red or green if you are ready'd up or not
You are able to bind keys to drop the bomb, and /kill. Here is how:
bind "openscriptmenu quickresponses 8" - Drop Bomb
bind "openscriptmenu quickresponses 9" - Suicide
