The GotFrag Call of Duty 4 Tournament gets underway tomorrow with 29 of the top COD4 teams in the world fully registered to participate. 29 teams will compete in a double elimination bracket with the first place team taking home $1000 cash! The tournament, in conjunction with GameBattles.com, begins first round action Tuesday January 27th at 9pm EST.

GotFrag has chosen seeds for the 29 teams with 16 seeded teams and 13 teams randomly seeded below. The higher seeded Team must choose one map to play and one map to remove. Then, the lower seeded Team must choose the second map to play, followed by a map to remove. The higher seeded Team then picks the third map from the remaining two maps.

they are playing in NorthAmerican servers where they won't be pinging their normal 20-60 pings. dont get me wrong Im guessing they are a good team and will do well but its a disadvantage for the most part even with antilag. at the same time MoBdeep is seeded #8 while Frag'd is seeded #5 and we beat them tonight in CEVO-P, but seeds are seeds... you'll have to beat the best teams anyways so why does it REALLY matter unless they are completely messed up.

Honestly, the ping obviously makes a difference but if you can play in a NY/ATL for them or play in a UK server its not that bad, even with 100-150 ping(150 being the highest we got and some people on east coast for us ping 100-120ish) its really not bad at all, it isnt hugeeeeeeee hugeeeeee. With that said im sure there will be some teams making them play in a CHI or DFW or something considering most people dont own a NYC/ATL unless gotfrag is gonna lend us some(or get a sponsor)

#7 If you have a NY server, most euros only ping 80-120 max. Playing with that ping constant though isn't that bad.

The seeds fit. Frag'd did quite well last season, and have been doing pretty well lately. Mobdeep is a new team, and got spanked by mob the other day. There was quite a bit of research into the seeding.

Isnt a matter of: force teams to play where they dont want. But i know there are many intolerant players that treat us like a plague just because were trying to play an usa league. But i hope, just like Team Precision did, that let us play where the ping ratio is more balanced and not BE FORCED to lag out on X server. And as long as ours servers are good id love the fair play.

Going to miss the start of my raid tonight because of bo3, gggggggggggggggggggggg.
