Call Of Duty: CEVO-P Season 4 Preview

By: Ryan McKay - Published July 09, 2009 at 4:04 AM EDT - Writer Archive
Team Dynamic

United States Chris "Sage" Gaskill (Leader)
United States Bryce "winky`" Putt
United States Nathan "nova" Neiss
United States Taylor "tatE" Nolte
United States Alex "oxi" Daniels

United States Alex "LeXLP" Deily

Team Dynamic has been working on this roster for quite some time. It seems they have finally found their final three additions that compliment the returning Sage and Oxi. If you haven’t played this lineup yet, once you do you will understand how much of a threat they will give other teams this season. Team Dynamic’s play style is one that can take every team by surprise. Rather than running around like idiots with laser guns, Dynamic plays rather slow. They aren’t a team will peak when you would expect someone to peak. They almost always keep their heads down and let their scope do all the scouting. It takes patience to stop Dynamic’s play style and you can expect that from a lot of the top tier teams in CEVO-P.

Player to Watch - Sage Nowhere else will you find such high fragging by sitting so far back. Sage is one of the only scopes to play so patiently that he still finds frags near the end of the round. Versus a year ago, Sage is able to pick up a gun off the ground and still find frags with it. If Sage is able to put his scope to his best use, Dynamic will acquire easy rounds to put them ahead of their opponent.

Prediction: 6-12

MoB-Gaming

United States Chris "-47-!" Maglio (Leader)
United States Jesse "Nrv" Daly
United States Robert "Sintax" Ryan
United States Zach "tm" Miller
United States Preston "Juv3niLe" Dornon

In MoB-Gaming we find another roster overflowing with talent. This is yet another team that has the possibility of taking first. Many of these players have played together in the past and will definitely beat most teams this season. It is obvious that this is one of the top contending teams that will make the other teams circle on their upcoming matches to think of some possible way to scrape out a win. Much like Pandemic, this is a team that has the superior shots. It will be extremely difficult for most teams to find holes in MoB that will allow them to gain the advantage. It will be up to finding that small hole and outshooting MoB to gain the rounds on them.

Player to Watch - Juv3niLe The main reason I chose Juvey is mainly because of how much I have seen him do. I have played him in so many matches and scrims where he has carried that team to where he will have spinal problems in the near future. Juvey has always been a smart player than can get the upper hand on any other player, no matter who they are. Whether he is scoping or using any other gun, he will have the frags to prove my point.

Prediction: 17-1

Grid05

United States Ryan "Pyrowraith" McKay (Leader)
United States Drew "METH" Mclaren
United States Jared "riskk" Mikkelsen
United States Eric "2shoes" Ross
United States Brett "brett" Crick

United States Michael "craFter" Pugnetti

A team filled with a few cod series legends and some new faces, this roster could pull out some surprises, but at the same time could drop the ball quick. If they pick up some morale by grabbing some underdog wins it may be possible to see them in playoffs, but I don't see it happening. Possibly one of the biggest dark horses, on a good day they can compete with most teams in cevo-p.

Player to Watch - brett The most experienced player on the roster, having played with him in the past he can be a gamer changer whether its in a good or bad way. With smart player always coming from him, his shot simply has to be on for him to deal damage. He alone can bring grid05 to be a top tier team in cevo-p.

Prediction: 6-12

Blight Gaming

Canada Marc Alexandre "Krazzed" Allain (Leader)
United States Ben "simple" Barroll
Canada Maxime "fAN7OM" Grimard
Canada Steve "fa|err" Bernier
Canada Jonathan "kb" Bilodeau

United States Jim "rawfuLz!" Rehel

This is almost the exact same lineup that nearly won CEVO-O last season. Finding a new 5th in simple is an important pickup that will help their chances at doing outstanding this season. The returning four have played together for such a long time it will be hard to beat their experienced chemistry. If the team doesn’t get a swollen head from their ego, they will without a doubt do fairly well. This is a team that will probably last out the entire season unless something goes wrong. They have a different play style that can stop most teams in their tracks. It will be interesting to see how they will compete against the best this final season. Main thing I see from this roster is that their inactivity could be their downfall this season.

Player to Watch - Simple Simple is the only player on this team, to my knowledge, that has played in CEVO-P in the past. You can expect him to know how to help guide this team in the correct direction for them to do well. Aside from being a coolheaded player, Simple has a superb shot with most guns that will pick up rounds and clutches. Be on the lookout for this player in the upcoming matches and expect a lot of hype during any shoutcasts.

Prediction: 4-14
