If you thought NoA was a good team before recent addition of one of the best players in California will have you waiting for this weekend. Check out our full interview with NoA's newest member Destructo. Midway: First of all introduce yourself to everyone. ![]() Destructo: My name is Devon Domercq, I am 16 years old and have been playing with the core of Team Rival for quite some time now. Midway: This is a big move for you joining the 2nd place finisher at the last CPL, what was your reaction when they ask you to join? Destructo: As anyone would react to such an opportunity, I was excited and eager to take it further, Siege and I began talking more and more about it. Midway: Siege is a big part of this being NoA's manager, but do you think a lot of this played in because he use to manage you with Rival? Destructo: I think Siege being able to see my potentialmay have had some effect on it, but the decision still lied in the hands of the players. Midway: Many consider you one of the rising stars in the North America, GotFrag All-Star West Team member, and now NoA. How do you feel about all of this press and now pressure you have received? ![]() Midway: Knoxville is considered one of the top leaders in the World, how important do you think it will be learning and listening to him on NoA? Destructo: As with any team, being on the same page as the rest of the players is a key ingredient in success. I think Knoxville has the control and intelligence in game to bring NoA to championships :) Midway: Well you have gone from the star of Rival to now just a part of the All-Star NoA squad, if they add a 6th player are you concerned about playing time and how big of an impact you'll have on theteam? Destructo: To be completely honest I am not worried about play time at all, everything should work out fine. Midway: Along with that NoA is not in CAL-I, how important is it to you to constantly be playing twice a week in match situations and are you concerned about your game falling off without that constant match practice? ![]() Destructo: Practice is very important, but NoA is lucky enough to have some of the most experienced players around, so adapting to their style of play shouldn't take much time. Midway: Obviously this question has to be asked, especially with how Rival is reacting to your leaving. How hard of a decision was it to leave and what reaction did you see from the Rival guys when you told them? Destructo: I don't want to go into too much detail about that, but I have to admit it was a VERY tough decision, and a few of the rival players were not too pleased. Midway: Europeans may not know you as well, which could create questions around why you were picked up versus a lot of other players, maybe even bsl. How do you feel about questions those people have and will that effect you in anyway, little added pressure maybe even motivation? Destructo: One of the main reasons I am so unknown outside of the US is because before this year the CPL age limit restricted me from playing. To the people questioning it..more reason to prove it to them! Midway: How do you feel about NoA's 6th player and I would assume that NoA has told you who this person is. What's your opinion on his addition to the team? Destructo: NoA's 6th player is definitely going to have a large impact on the team, and on the community in general. He will only make the team stronger :) Team NoA Website: http://www.teamnoa.net |
