(@[3D]-Torbull) this is the opportunity to take gaming out of the hyatt basement and into the big time - it's exciting and i hope our existing fans respect that and continue to support us
#4, very wrong. if you get out of the coL site, which i have seen you post there quite often, you would notice that not many of the 3D fans on the 3D site are disappointed. the return of ksharp kind of overshadowed their transition to source, which only disappointed all the cal o noobs who dont know what it feels like to be professional and knows where the money is at.
It wasn't an attack on CPL - it is just saying that the things that have been announced are different than anything that has been done before for CS. Don't over analyze the situation.
im agreeing with #8...true fans of 3D/coL didn't leave and yet i see on the forums people saying they dislike the teams now and they never have a good reason they are just being selfish and ksharp coming back was a positive that canceled out all negatives
#14, you don't root for a team because of who they are are anything of that sort, at least you don't start liking that way. You're a fan of a team because they play a game that interests you. Sure you may begin to like the players and the organization after you're a fan, but let's face it, I don't play the same game as 3D or coL anymore, so I'm not a fan.
yes #17 but there are people who are saying they hate those organizations now after those same organizations helped further the game they all like to the point where it couldn't go any further. That hate that they have is senseless and they can never justify it.
Don't you people get it, VALVE doesn't care about CS 1.6. Source is and will be the future of counter-strike whether you like it or not, and that's VALVE's decision, not ours. You can deal with it and stop complaining, play some other game, or you can play Source. All VALVE cares about is money, and they saw no money with 1.6. VALVE is going to continue to promote Source and ignore 1.6.
<[3D]-Torbull> [22:38] <coL|1`out> Do the 3D fans know you are sexy.. but going bald? ;D <[3D]-Torbull> yes they all know, jason <[3D]-Torbull> but they still love us! <[3D]-Torbull> <3
Craig - what an incredibly distasteful remark. Figures you would say something like that.
For the teams now switching to Source because DirecTV was denied a license for 1.6, I sincerely wish you the best of luck. The CPL is using 1.6 in 2007. Hopefully the "future of esports" can include many different ideas and concepts.
Yeah, without the CPL to basically create eSports, CGC wouldn't have ever even been a thought. Angel Munoz is Jesus and the Hyatt is the holyland! NEVER FORGET!
Everytime you make a dumb thread/post, another 1.6'er converts to source.
Was taken out of context in a 1.5 hour long interview. We're obviously appreciative for what CPL has done. It seems what has been announced is a new opportunity, that's all. We've seen the competitive CS community go left and right and left and right for a long time without too much forward momentum. Hopefully this can help kick start things for everyone!
no, it hasnt gone left and right, its gone from one competitive version to another, source is a totally different game, stop trying to defend yourself, you lost me at "3d switches to source"
MLB baseball/football/hocket/soccer with multi million dollar contracts didn't start 6-7 years after the creating of of those sports...It was more like 100+ years. I don't understand why people think theres no advancment in eSports because the prize money at CPL dosn't double every year. Think long term baby! Not saying that CGC isn't a HUGE step and opportunity for eSports, which it is, but theres no need to put the CPL down, what they've done is monumental and I think we should all take the next 10 minutes after reading this post to reflect on it. They went from a local lan to million dollar payouts on national television in less then ten years. Angel, if CGC does end CPL, which it won't, you should be a very a proud man because you, Sir, are a genious.

Torbull's abusiness man. DirecTV is something new and looks like a step forward in esports if it works out. So those in favor of esports growth should support DirecTV regardless of the game they use. I would love to see 3D make a smooth transition to source and succeed with DirecTV and say they were there in the beginning with their long history of 1.6. Think of the possibilities of gaming companies able to advertise their products on TV. His remark is simply stating this is a great opportunity for esports to jump into the light of the public eye.
I'm glad u said CPL is sticking with 1.6. Smart move.
You're one of the few that listens to the people that you provide for.
Hell, if u weren't in gaming and in politics, you'd actually get this country out of the sh*thole that its in....that is if the politics in this country weren't as f'd up as they already are..but thats neither here nor there..
Thank you for being a man of the people =)

-Oh and Torbull you do have a point but, lest we forget, the CPL jumpstarted competitive counter-strike the way DTV is currently jumpstarting source into the mainstream media.
