hey, i've been trying to find a good render codec for a while now, and have done wmv and xvid, etc. and now i'm thinkin of trying out x264, i'm trying it out because apparently it's > .wmv. i looked at the stickied tits. (tutorials) and it seems a little out dated. so is anyone willing to spend some vent/AIM time showing me how to correctly render a movie using x264? meaning using megui and etc, i already know startmovie stuff and all of that, all i need now is a config for x264, and help with rendering tips :). (like what resolution to use, and f it's better to startmovie 8 x 6 resolution but render at like 9 x 6.

a perfect example of the type of quality i would like to achieve is unda's movie.

don't use x264 it just doesn't work properly at all on a lot of computers.

btw not every post i make is like that, not even half, so nt. and btw, that definition of "troll" that you put is YOUR definition of troll. the vast majority of people use the word troll as someone who tries to cause disruption or anger. so again, nice try. majority rules in over the definition of a "troll". and before you go off saying 'oh well that's just urban dictionary", it's not just urban dictionary. it was an internet meme that was meant for the definition that i stated.

even with vlc player, if you have a bad computer itll be a realyl laggy movie.

and when i mean bad computer i mean you have trouble running cs 1.6 at 8x6 in 1 smoke.
