1st of all hes an idiot, 2nd of all hes an idiot for getting an 8500gt and 3rd of all hes an idiot for getting vista with a 8500gt and thinkin his mouse is the problem
I have a Dual Core 4400+ 2.6Ghz CPU, 3GB of RAM, an 8800GT OC, use an MX518 and run Windows Vista. I play 1.6, CZ, and CSS. I find that when I first launch CS I have problems with jerkiness/lag symptoms that last usually around 6-10 rounds before finally going away. After that.. no problem. If I exit out of the game and restart it the lag returns for another 6-10 rounds. I searched and found some information below that might help. I'll be trying it tonight to see if it works:
* try right click css icon go to properties go to compatibility tab and * make its running for xp sp2 * disable visual themes * disable desktop composition * disable display scaling on high DPI settings

MX518+Vista=Lag?
works fine
He has an 8500GT...
Quick question btw, does anyone who have an mx 518 use the dpi buttons at all?
"When i first turned on my computer, the first time i ever turned it on, it asked if i wanted to use windows vista or windows xp"
