Isn't anyone else wondering why in almost every match, t-side was dominating...
The only game that I saw that ct-side was actually fighting back9and incredibly well at that) was the mTw match vs fnatic.
Right off the beginning of this tournament T side was dominating most every map, look at the Fnatic vs Virtus Pro first match on de_nuke where they tied.
So I ask one question, why is it that all the sudden at this tournament(from what i've watched lately) is there a change of pace?
It's the tactics for attaking side that are getting better and more advanced/well timed by practising the flashes/smokes alot, by topteams. The amount of time spent practising increased dramatically for topteams over the years as salaries got better etc, and it pays off. For CT side there isn't much creativity left, the spots are all known, all they can do is counter-flash and try get a pick, or a spraydown on a possible rush.
T-Side is more dominating because you have the whole team pushing towards one bombsite, while CT side is seperated and watching both bomb sites. The Ct's just gotta hold down as good as possible.
pretty much every ct setup has been figured out on every frequently played map (nuke, inf, d2, train for example) that just like #7 said its hard to be creative nowadays. I guess you could just cheat over towards one site and play takeover on another, but thats playing the factor of luck.
next time youre playing a scrim and youre on ct. just look at the spot youre playing and think of all the different places youve seen people play that site/spot. then try to find another place thats not one of those based on what youre looking at.
I think aztec should be brought back just for SH17S n giggles. also maps that didnt get a lot of play like comrade and fire should be added to league rotations just because every single trick hasnt been figured out on those maps.

Fire is a great map I will say. But I also think it is easier for teams to work together and coordinate an attack as T rather than having to defend where you usually are short handed when the ts rush.
I wouldn't say it's because all the CT set-ups have been thought of... because in reality you really never know how the CT's are going to be playing it so it does not really matter if you know the hiding spots or not.
I think it's more or less due to crouch hopping (can make it passed awpers easier now) and the fact that teams are much more aggressive then they once were. More frag happy people in todays e-sports.

#13 yeah i agree that crouch-hopping is completely changing the game. i still think it should be illegal. i know its impossible to enforce..but it would be a start by making all players unbind their mwheelup.

#7 I disagree. While some teams still follow that approach, what we've actually seen in recent years is a regression in detailed tactics, and a larger emphasis on simplicity. Most successful teams now run less fakes and pickoff strategies, stick together more, and send all five players in one direction with just a few effective flash bangs. It's a trend most began to notice with the success of aTTaX in 2006. Fnatic has also used this play style to their advantage consistently over the years. At Kode 5 it was most noticeable in their match against Virtus, where they rushed all five players ramp upwards of 4 times successfully while dominating the half 12-3 (11-4?).
#16 He is talking about world wide I think. Leagues in the united states allow you to use the mouse wheel which makes it easy to rush on places like de_nuke and de_train to an extent.

#19 You can't say maps are a certain side. The only map that is close to being a one sided map (that is still used in league play) is de_train and even that map some teams are so well coordinated they can do very well T side.
I mean maps like de_nuke, de_inferno, and de_dust2 are all toss ups. You might play a team that dominates T side of a map then play that very same map against another team and dominate them when they are T's.
To many factors go into it. Who you are playing, if they like to rush or not, what kind of spawns you have... etc.
